when I was talking about the store reps who want the phone I was referring to those like myself. not making any assumptions about ethan. I'm being hopeful but trying to not be too excited until I see it in infomanager or internal training. that's all =)
Ah...I made assumptions since you quoted my post.
Ethan has promised some sort of official VZW aknowledment of the i760 by the 9th. I'm sure this means you will find out something soon and we'll see some sort of marketing in the next week and a half.
okay i really needed a replacement phone (while i'm waiting for the i760) about a month ago when i went on vacation to chicago so i got the new chocolate because i really hated the phone i had
my 30 days is not up yet
two things:
1) does anyone think that if i went to the store and explained my case that i really really want the i760 and only got the chocolate because i couldn't stand my vx7000 anymore, but the i760 might probably come out a week or two after the 30day return deadline that i'd be able to get a short extension on my deadline?
2) or would i be able to extend my contract a little bit when the i760 actually comes out
also if i returned the chocolate under the deadline, would i get that $100 back from the new every two or no
Eh, after owning this 6700 for 2.5 yrs, im going to be so happy to replace it with the i760. I will not venture down the 6800 road. Theres to many things i hate about my 6700 that i know hasnt been fixed in the 6800. My mini usb connector broke on my 6700 and seems the weak link on their phones.
do these problems that havent been fixed effect the i760 as well? Do you know? Are they hardware issues? Program issues...and dont tell us all its the call quality..LOL

No, these are personally related to the HTC's. Anyone who tells you its a great PDA is lying because, it has major issues with phone calls, calls missed, no properly terminating phone calls after ending, thus eating your battery, txt msging, MMS messaging with no sound, battery eater, slow as hell with memory cards installed, being a square brick, even some bluetooth nags. I mean, theres more issues than what im outlining, but those are the ones that personally bug me day to day. Its not WM5 either because ive seen other PDAs that dont act like the HTCs. I m just happy to be coming to the samsung camp.
I think verizon is lying when they say they go the extra mile in testing these phones. The 6700 has been the biggest piece of **** and they should be ashamed of releasing a product like it since undergoing such " intensive testing." As far as their PDA delays, Its their way of saying " were trying to screw you people with PDA phones now by forcing you to use Get It Now, were locking you out! HA HA ."
