Actually, it may be vzpix.com, I can't remember and don't feel like testing it at the moment.
Last time I checked pix were MMS, I have tested this and it works. I used my u740 to send an MMS with no picture and just send a text portion because it gives you 1000 characters instead of the SMS 160 character limit.

I sent an email to my friend and she replied to it and I got it as an MMS and there was no picture attached just text.

Are we talking about the same thing here? haha.

Hope my post has cleared things up.

Don't bother, didn't really want them. Just seems like a big hassle.

Ok...now that I've got that out of my system...here's a little wrist slap for all of us for being OT.

    Ok, back On-topic everyone....

Yeah, I thought MMS were pix, but I'm tired and couldn't remember if that was right or not so oh well.

I just tested the vzwpix.com address and it didn't work so I tried the vzpix.com and it hasn't kicked back to me yet, but I also haven't gotten it on my cell yet either. I did insert a small pic just to see if that would work so maybe that is the delay? I know text only works, I've done it before but can't remember the address. I know there is vtext.com but like you said it is more limited on characters.

EDIT: on topic....lol.....I sure hope this phone drops on the same day as the 6800 so I can compare the two. Based on the pics online I really dislike the look of the i760 but some things just aren't very photogenic lol.

If you send a pic you have to add a subject or it wont send and get some sort of error.

MIN@vzwpix.com is for MMS and MIN@vtext.com is for SMS but the first should be used for everything as it gets you more for your buck lol.

The 6800 will probably launch a lot sooner since its released b2b first and the i760 still has a "rolling change" connected to it so anything can happen.

But agreed the i760 isnt to photogenic but if it was free it would sport it lol.

Yes, it should work that way. I currently have a moto v710. I have been sending emails with attachments of ringtones and pictures from outlook on my PC, and I receive them as MMS on my phone.

well once you're connected through wifi, you'll have data/network but it's data/network from YOUR wifi... not verizon's. sending MMS uses verizon's network and not yours.

edit: wow i totally misread your post. yes it works that way haha

Hmm, vzwpix.com does seem to work with text only, but I can't seem to get it to send a pic....actually I just noticed the pic is probably too large for my old phone lol. I need a nap.

I'll stop the off-topic banter now.

EDIT: Note to self......pic must be an attachment, not an insert in the email....DUH.

    Works fine now.

The file size for "older phones" is 350kb newer phones as in 9900, u740 the file limit is 500kb.

Go take a nap, when you come back ill have more 6800 info for you hehe.

Yeah, the pic I was trying to send was 600k. So I substituted it with a 150k photo and remembered to put it as an ATTACHMENT and it worked great lol. I'm not going to be able to sleep now if you've got some more 6800 news coming up!!

EDIT: I sincerely apologize for continuing this off-topic rambling. Back to the subject at hand.

I hope that neither the i760 or the 6800 are more that $400 after rebates and such. I figure I'll get $100 off for NE2 and $100 off for ADD. I can justify spending $200 for a sexy new phone.

For me after NE2 and ADD I could only justify 150-100, leaning more to 100 due to no Rev.A.
A phone's no good unless you can get a signal...
