This should be in the other thread but its talking about both phone so ill post it here.

The price shouldnt be all that expensive as the 6800 from our unmentionables is only $288 from that one cheap plan and $199 from its "regular" plans with 2 yr. contract. Well these prices are as of yesterday when I went in to play with the phone. I want it NOW!!! haha

So the i760 should be in that price range but more the likely cheaper as it has no Rev. A and not as appealing lol

Yeah I'd prefer $100, obviously lol who wouldn't? But I wouldn't mind spending $200 on the 6800 if it lives up to all the hype. I don't think I could justify more than $100 for the i760 considering how ugly I think it is.

nice! OK, lets see if we can decipher some of the abbreviations . . .

i760MOCK - in store display model

    SAMI760BAT - regular battery

    SAMI760BATX - extended life battery

    SAMI760DTC - ?? not sure

    SAMI760HOL - holster/belt clip

    SAMI760STL - ?? not sure

SAMI760TVL - travel charger? Would this perhaps be the AC wall plugged travel charger, and the DTC is the DC Travel charger i.e. car charger?

    SAMI760VPC - ?? not sure

i recognize that i am *completely* pulling these out my a**, so feel free to correct my guesses

*edit* - DTC is desk top cradle! I knew the old brain would kick in sooner or later (still early here on the east coast and my morning stimulants haven't kicked in yet)

    STL might be stylus
    VPC might be data cable.

Thanks for your email. Here is what I know....It WILL be released within the next 2 weeks. There is a firm date, however I can not disclose it ...yet. Look for an official announcement soon. I don't know if it will be a soft launch for the Business channel first. Probably not, seeing how they want it to compete with iphone.
I don't know the complete specs of the device, but it absolutely will NOT be Rev A. It will have Wi-Fi built-in, and will NOT have the IR port. It will have WM6 (this is a slick interface, you'll love it!) as well as a quicker computer (dont let the numbers fool you). You will need all new accessories, as the connections port has been reworked. As far as I know, it will come with everything your i730 came with -cradle/desk charger, travel charger, slim/extended bat, holster, 2 stylist, etc. BTW, the slim battery has been improved to improve life. Price point is unknown at this point. Probably in the $300-$500 range.

That's all I know/can say at this point. I'll keep you updated if I hear anything.

By the way, you are going to want to upgrade your company KRZRs to the new RAZR2 when it comes out... it is dominate!!

There you go. Take it for what it's worth, but this guy has a track record for always being on the money. I have to get back to my Pina Colada! Cheers...

I am hoping for 499 retail. I am not available for an early upgrade till 9/27. I can't wait that long so I will just buy the i760 at retail, and save the upgrade for something later.

I hope that's without ADD because I will never pay more than $150 (after NE2 and ADD and $50 discount) for a non Rev. A. phone anymore. I probably would have last year, but now that Rev. A. is everywhere I couldn't justify that much money.

The i730 was like $719.99 retail when introduced... - 100.00 ADD, and 100 Ne2, you were still looking at 500 bucks...

Now I don't believe that the i760 should be that high, but you never know...

I don't think anyone needs to hang their hat on Rev. A being a "do or die" feature. Sure, we SHOULD have it after waiting this long but it's not really that big of an improvement. You're really only getting 20-30% increase in speeds on the d/l side.

On the u/l side it's a big jump but I never utilize this feature.

I know that the xv6800 hundred is not in the same position as the i760 but as a pricing point comparison I think it would be relatively safe to assume that the i760 would not exceed the 299 mark as both the ATT and Sprint versions of the 6800 are at that same price right now. I think VZW would be crazy to list a phone of similar capability (although there is less memory in the i760) for a higher price.
