To all others. You click on the left hand corner to change the orientation to whatever you want. It does automatically switch but you can click on the button to change the orientation.
That's a cool trick, but it still doesn't explain the date. Are you saying this was not a dummy/display unit? I'm not saying you didn't recently take these pictures. Just trying to figure out what they tell us.
The 10:10 display time (albeit with a 1/23/07 date) was there in the preview from the VZW website discussed earlier and also shown here. (quickest place I could find it). Could be just a coincidence.
I never said it was real unit. I said I played with the phone.
Would anyone like me to send them the pictures to show you that they were taken today a few hrs ago.
Would it have killed you to state that in the initial post.
You mentioned it was very light, most dummy phones are light compared to actual handsets so this description is not accurate. Accurate for what you had in your hand but misleading in your post on an i760.

The real unit was light. The guy with the phone took the real unit from me and I snapped pic of the dummy when he was putting the real phone away.
He got all butt hurt when I wanted to take pix of the real thing.

I believed they were legit when you posted them. But you have a habit of being rather cryptic. When you stated that there is a button to switch the screen orientation in response to a question about the display, it seemed to imply that that is what you had done as opposed to handling a dummy unit.

Read the post just before yours.
I will just stop posting things as BigPandaDaddy has the same info that I can get.
No badgering from me. I appreciate anything, but it was apparent that was a dummy phone.
Everyone should know how voracious we all are for info, and have been since last November, so people tend to get a bit edgy if there is any intention of mis-representation.
Now back to my question...
Are the dummy phones in stores? And if so, did they have the real deal in retail packaging in the store as well???
Someone else had posted that a store manager said they had them in Seattle....
