Ok then why do all the other windows based MP3 players allow you to drop and drag music onto your devise without the protection hassel? Why is it only apple that has this crap? Also, although the price is somewhat affected by Apple's market share, the other reason they are cheaper is because there is competition. (Just like when you buy IBM PC stuff)
Secondly you can't compare a BMW to a honda or Nissan (Owned 03 525i and 04 530i) as an example of Apple to IBM. clearly the BMW's are better products. (Apple isn't which is why I raised the point) If you want to compare them say when you buy Apple, it's like buying a Honda but paying for a BMW! That exactly the point I made. when you buy a
Apple you get less and you have more headaches but you pay more! I've never had a problem with spending more so long as I am getting more for my money! Lastly regarding Porche....I owned a 2000 vette with performance numbers that exceeding the porche but at far less price. Granted the fit and finish on the vette don't compare with the Porche's however I figured when buying a sports car, I'd actually make a decision based upon performance rather than looks. If you have the chance buy a C5,they are a hell of a lot of fun to drive. If you have the balls, add NOS.....it's lot like meeting a pretty girl with an STD.......you know you want to hit it but you're afraid of the consequences!
Can you guys argue about this on some other thread?
Well T-Mobile announced today that their Wing smartphone will be the first phone in the US running on Windows Mobile 6. It is going to be out in a few weeks.
Maybe this will light a fire under Verizon to get the I760 out and running also WM6.
i thought that the wing was out today or tomorrow?????? It is on the tmobile website for sale. Anyway, i do think that verizon needs to start rushing some phones out here soon. Especially, smart phones before the iphone launch. But, we have all beat that horse to death in these threads.
As usual I am unable to vouch for the credibility of this information but I always try to pass on what I find in the event there may be some truth to it.
That being said, below I've attached a link w/some talk about a late May release for the I760. Additionally, within the link there is another link containing more specific information. Let's all hope for the best.
Rev a is the faster data connection. Like EVDO was over 1x Rev a promises to speed up uploads and downloads. (better internet surfing) My big question is Rev A. software or hardware controlled. Meaning if i760 doesn't have Rev a can it be upgraded to that in the future with a software update?
VZW....where our motto is..."we will sell no phone before we've had a chance to cripple it!"
but does anyone else think the phone looks too ... generic and plain?
Its a smartphone geared towards people who are going to be using this for business, not to show off to their friends. If you are looking for something pretty buy a Chocolate. I do agree that it looks bland, but function is far more important than beautification to the people who are going to be buying this phone.

I have been doing some research on Rev. A and what I determined is that in order to be able to upgrade to Rev A, you would have to have the Rev A hardware built into the handset before the handset was released, and then have a firmware or software upgrade which would activate that hardware to Rev A. There are separate hardware configurations for Rev 0 and Rev A but Rev A is backward compatible.
This is what I have understood from the people I have spoken to at Qualcomm, VZW and Samsung. I have also found some information on the internet. I could be wrong, but either way lets hope Samsung puts the Rev A hardware into the unit!

Seriously folks, how about showing some mutual respect and trying to maintain civil discourse? Religious wars are not going to change anyone's mind and they tend to bring out the worst in us.
How about a little more focus on the i760 per the OP?
Is anyone concerned that the i760 camera has no flash, no autofocus and only 1X optical zoom? That does not seem like a camera with the quality that fits in with the rest of the features/quality of the i760.
