I believe you will find that email will be duly noted and purposefully ignored.
The tone of your email was entirely based on emotion. I have been on the receiving end of these emails before. If someone writes a communication like this it will either get a standard form response or, if it is deemed "good" enough, it will be passed around to others in the customer service department where they shall laugh at you.
Verizon Wireless is an entity, a corporation - not a person. Therefore you cannot write in to customer service and think that you are smacking VZW into shape. You are going to reach a customer service rep, who may or may not work directly for Verizon, who has no power to help you and whose pay is so meager that they likely subside on Listerine and Tender Vittles. Trust me, they couldn't possibly care less than they already don't.
Been said plenty of times around here - forums are a place for people to be vocal and statistically speaking it is when they feel strongly against something. This forums may have a "power in numbers" feeling to it but it is no more significant to VZW than a single flea is to a dog.
I suggest that if you decide to try again, make a more constructive letter. Don't lamblast the company no matter how much they deserve it, and try carpetbombing the email to VZW executives.

I suggest you don't try again, unless you want to waste another 15 minutes of your life, because that's how much they care. 99 and 44/100 % of their customers don't know these phones are coming out and aren't waiting anxiously like we are. That's who they care about. We're specs on the fleas on the dogs Verizon owns....

Yep, as I've stated before:
Total HoFo users (not just VZW forums): 694,719
VZW Retail Customers: ______________ 60,100,000
Even if all of HoFo made a fuss it would go no where, VZW has a business plan and they are not about to change it for 1% of their customer base.

This is the email I just sent to Verizon, I'll post there response as soon as I receive it, though I doubt it'll be anything but a form letter:
OK, this is probably my 3rd submission - C'mon guys what's going on? Just read the phone forums, people are beyond frustration w/the lack of choices for PDAs. Additionally, the few devices Verizon has in the pipeline keep getting delayed.
There is literally no communication with regard to upcoming devices and talking to Verizon's staff is about as productive as milking a pigeon.
Even the responses from you when I submit these emails are practically pointless - You pull the same ol script, copy and paste and press the send button - Gee thanks, I appreciate knowing my loyalty to the company is of such high importance.
Yes your "network" is great, but who on capitol hill has to sign off on the release of the i760 & XV6800 and why do you pretend not to know or care about the frustrations of your customers - it's like your creating the 8th wonder, it's a phone for God sake, screw on the back, put in the battery and sell it to people who have been eagerly anticipating their arrival for literally months.
I'm sure my lowly Masters degree does not qualify me to know or understand the complex task of building and marketing devices such as phones but it does afford me a few dollars to spend - however, perhaps Verizon is doing so well that my nearly $200/month doesn't matter to them - yeah that's it, right?
I'd truly appreciate knowing (though I realize there's a snow ball's chance in hell of this happening) that this communque has reached someone at a level that will actually take the frustrations of your customers seriously.
Verizon, it is just imperative that you not ignore your customers needs. Many of us have been loyal for many years and I don't think it's asking to much for you at the very least to appear that your making some effort to keep up w/the competition in the area of handsets and devices - This is an outrage.
Can we please, for the love of God, get the freakin i760 and VX6800 released before the second coming?
Thank You.
Peace
I really hope that letter made you feel better, cause it really didn't do anybody any good.
On a slight side note: Booo USC Bruin Pride Baby! lol, j/k - I'm still excited I got accepted to medical school
What's your Masters Degree in - Overly Emotional Business Letter Writing?
I thought this part of it was good:

VZW, It's 2009! Time to embrace technology, not suppress it.
oops....too late I've ported over to AT$T

Except that it's "YOU'RE", not "your". Sorry...pet peeve.
Wow, give me a break people. I enjoyed the letter. It was down to earth and light hearted. No, VZW is not going to release the phone just because of this letter, but it doesn't hurt to see legitimate frustration from customers.
Yes, one or a few letters are drops in the bucket compared to an entire subscriber base, but individuals represent the thinking of more than just themselves. That's why we have polls and surveys.

Its the unprofessional nature of the letter that will make it get ignored. The person who gets it will just delete it. A well written letter will make its way up a couple more levels, multiple well written letters from multiple people will get heard.
I called up the b2e line last month and was set to order new phones and such then said "well it looms like the new phones have been pushed back, so I'll wait". $ speak louder. Then the very morning of the q9m release date I called the same rep back and ordered $450 worth of stuff as well as signed up for a new two year plan, again $ talks. If everyone waiting for the new phones now did the same, contact them, tell them the plan you want, etc they say you want to buy the i760 and when they say its not available get their contact info and give them your contatc info and ask them to call you when it is available. then when it actually does release reward them with the purchase. I'll bet now if someone called the rep I did and asked him to call them when it drops he will as he sounded surprised when I called him at 8:00 wed morning as soon as his office opened. A few more of those calls and they will get the message.
