UMMMM....I just sat on the phone for 10 minutes with a rep with absolutely no luck! i gave them the SKU and nothing. What else were you telling the rep when you tried guys? this is driving me nuts.

Yep... sure is. Hopefully Verizon sees the demand for a phone they haven't even officially acknowledged and decides to at least officially mention it. I tipped Engadget about the unofficial release to help get the word out.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know I was able to order my i760 through the normal *611 customer service number and Im in Southern California.
I got a nice rep whom said he saw the phone and was able to add it to the system and it will ship out tomorrow. He said my price with NE2 was $342 AFTER Tax... he said it was $299 plus tax (Tax based on original price). Plus the $50 rebate in the box brings it down another $50 bucks! ($249 plus taxes) Good deal!
He said its in stock, will ship out tomorrow, and Ill get it on Monday Or Tuesday of next week!

(Also of note is that there was no Advanced Data Discount on the device... at least right now)
Nicely done -- I did that too but got someone who (allegedly) hadn't even heard of the i760. Had no information at all. I guess it's just a crap shoot as to whether or not you can order it. I'll have to keep trying.
Just ordered the phone successfully through calling customer service.
Paid $317 (I am eligible for upgrade but not NE2). This does not include the $50 MIR so end result is $267. I was able to talk the rep into giving me the $100 online discount even though I was ordering on the phone.
His jaw dropped - he said it was nowhere in his system, and when I gave him the SKU # SCHi760ZKV he found it instantly. He had no pictures and no information on accessories.
SECONDED: Need info on accessories!! SKU #'s please? I need a belt holster for this thing!
Well, after a couple tries, I finally got my order through. But my rep to me that I wasn't "guaranteed" the phone but Verizon already charged my credit card. What are the chances that my order is all good to go?

What areas are you all in? I am in the Washington DC/ Baltimore Metro Area and all I am getting is CSRs either saying, "Only available in certain markets" or "Is that the new Nextel?
