Thanks Mr.Dude, I also confirmed when I called this morning to order accessories.
I got the standard "but it should show up in my system" speech for about 1 minute and just told her that if she has a spot to type in a SKU it should come right up for her.
I successfully ordered VPC (car charger), HOL (holster), and DTC (desktop cradle) using this method - cost of $95 and free shipping.
I'm in Fredeerick MD... same thing... nothing.. even with the sku..

Again, the key here is to try a few different times. Tell them right off the bat you would like to order a phone, that they won't be able to find it in their regular system but that you have a sku number and if they type it in, it should come right up.
Make sure you are spelling letters phonetically, things like 'Z' and 'V' get easily confused over the phone.
If that person just doesn't find it, then call back and try again.
Like I said, I got both my phone and accessories by calling up customer service, hitting '4' for more options and then '5' for all other questions.. and the SKU #'s worked first time every time.
I live in Chicago. Just dialed *611 and told a very nice CSR to look it up by the SKU and she found it immediately, although it was not on her equiptment list.
She said the priced showed as $499.99. My last upgrade was this January, so I do not qualify for discounted pricing she said. I said would it help if I gave her my VZW Merits program #, and she said yes they could do early upgrade for $399.99, even though it really only extends my contract by 9 months. No data discount, since I already have a data plan.
Then I gave the SKU#s for the cradle and the vehicle charger and she ordered those too, including my 25% discount on accessories from the Merits program. She did note that this program is only grandfathered for exisitng customers now. Then I said can you get it here to my house tomorrow morning and she said yes Fedex overnight for $12.99 will guarantee it tomorrow moring.
So total damage = $499.99 - $100.00 9 mo. extension + $39.99 cradle - $10 discount + $29.99 car charger - $7.50 discount + $12.99 shipping = $500.52
I'd tried this morning with SKU numbers as well and no luck. I'm trying from central NJ area. The woman said it is probably only B2B at this point.

Try again. Don't bring up the B2B vs. B2C issue. The less said the better.
Try for the phone first, if they manually enter the SKU it should work. I could be wrong but at this time I remain unconvinced this is an area related thing - you get the same Verizon customer service centers no matter where you are calling from, so I suspect that you have to get someone willing to work with you and just have them type in the SKU carefully.
Quite a few people spread out in other areas are able to get it. Key is persistance.
Pittsburgh PA, just ordered it (i hope). They said they need a supervisor's approval to exchange my 700wx for the i760. They said I will have it Tuesday or Wednesday if the supervisor approves it, which "he has never denied a claim" so she said.
I called 611 from my cell phone, pressed 0, asked to talk to the data dept. Once I was in there I told them about my problems with my treo and wanted to exchange it for the i760, they found it right away. The accessories were not showing up, so I gave them the SKU and they found them that way.
So hopefully I will have a i760 this week with some accessories, but then again my luck has been bad for a while, so I am just hoping right now.
YES!!! Nashville, TN here -- just spoke with a lady at *611 opt 0 who then transferred me to another rep. He was really nice but said, "I've never heard of that phone at all and I'm looking all over here." I told him that I've got the SKU if that would help and he kinda chuckled and said, "I've never had a customer give me a SKU before! ... Oh, there it is!" He set it up and then he told me, "I'd love to sell you some accessories but they're not in my system so I can't even look them up." At which point I offered him the SKUs for the car charger and the holster. Hahahahahaha
I think he had a good laugh about it -- but my phone is on it's way!!
This was the second rep that I spoke with today, and the third counting the one I talked to last night. If you don't get lucky with one rep, call back in!

Hi everyone. I'm new to this thread, so please forgive me if this has been asked a million times. To those of you that have ordered this phone, does it have either wi-fi or a scroll wheel? I'm thinking if it does, I may not want to wait for the xv6800 anymore. thanks!!!
