Do you think all these other "so called orders" are bogus and a few are trying to rev up the forum and get everyone excited??
I can assure you it's real. No bull sh*ting I was able to order both phone and all accessories I wanted, first time by simply being calm and having them type in the SKU's.

The level 2 CS supervisor stated the same thing. Looks like they caught on.
I just checked - as of right now, my order is still valid and rep says all indications are it ships today.
ALSO!!! Do you pay more than $79.99 for a voice plan you've had for 6+ months? You may qualify for Merit or VIP program so ASK! You'll save 25% on accessories and maybe some off the phone in some cases.. normally you have to order these online but since you can't the rep I spoke to was willing to give me the discount.
You know, it is what it is, if they took my order and they cancel it, whats another 10 days going to do? I am on my 7th treo, so they are trying to fix my problem by getting me a different device. So I have the supervisor calling me back as soon as he is done with his "meeting". The rep told me the order is filled and ready to ship just waiting supervisor approval. We will see what happens. If it is going to be shipped, i hope they ship it by 3pm so I can have the Saturday Delivery.
Does it concern anyone else that its Shipping with two batteries?
The only reason I see for a manufacture to do that instead of trying to sell the extended battery, would be if this thing just really sucks battery life....
I'm curious to see what you lucky few who already have it (or will soon) say?
I think it would discredit them to cancel existing orders I just think moving forward they will probably cease this. Any idea on the actual size difference between the 6800 and i760 apparently they both have the same screen size?

I agree with you, i think someone noticed all these i760's being "sold" and did put some type of memo out or something to say stop until the actual release date, but i think they WILL fill and ship all the orders that have been processed, or at least I hope, i really want to take my new phone on my trip with me next week.
As far as the batteries, I've had a few samsung phones that came with both batteries, i just think its a personal preference as to which you want to use and how much you use your phone. I dont think the battery life will be an issue, if it is i have a car charger on its way too. Just keep both batteries juiced up if your a heavy user. The battery issue some people have never bothers me unless it last less than 1/2 day.
As far as the issue of if they will cancel orders, there is no telling how common this very situation is, only the demand has never been there. This may be their idea of a "soft roll" of the device, and will determine their advertising budget based on initial business and consumer orders. the idea that this is some huge glitch is to give Verizon no credit. I saw 167 viewing this thread yesterday. if only half those people bought the phone, that's $40,000 in business. I don't care how big of a business you are, $40K is $40K. No way they would cancel that amount of business with no guarantee that they could retrieve it.
Is more likely they had initally set the device to go on sale in this timeframe, and if they pushed back the advertising and release roll out, they may have not changed when the device would become available for ordering. everyone I'm sure will admit that they have been doing quite the shuffle with this product launch

My i730 shipped with two batteries, so no... not really.
Any idea on the actual size difference between the 6800 and i760 apparently they both have the same screen size?
Practically the same size. 6800 is slightly smaller in two of the three dimensions. which obviously means the 760 is smaller in one of the two dimensions.
The 760 is able to have a dial pad on the face because they shifted the screen to the top of the unit versus the 6800 where its almost centered. Same size screen.

I don't know what it means, but note that the i760's immediate predecessor (the i730) shipped with both batteries (I think). So, who knows what to make of it?
