Really? Every time I get an LG flashed by Verizon to a new SW version, I lose all my games and have to restore them from my backup.Originally Posted by ScottB1

Scott- So you are saying that your games remained on your phone after the update without you having to re-load them?Okay. What about ringtones, contacts, pic ID settings? Did they remain>?

Ok, what about the power loss issue? Can someone who has flashed over turn their fully charged phone off tonight, and try to turn it on in the morning?? I want to know if they fixed that issue... That was another huge friggin flaw. I go places where the phone doesn't work, and I'd like to be able to turn it off, not just wait for it to go into power save mode... And the eri "loss of service" voice, that you cannot defeat, really bugs me!!!
ive heard the loss of service voice a few times, but i havent had the update long enough to test it for V02.Originally Posted by bigcalidave

By the way, funny thing happened today. I told my friend about the update, so he came over and i was gonna flash his phoen for him, but his connectors are so jacked up that the computer wouldnt recognize his phone lol. it charged the phone, but didnt see it. i sent him home sad.

The beginning of each sentence, you still have to press Shift to capitalize the first letter.

your store is doing a 'total reset' likely they are blanking their system is blanking out the memory before loading the new firmWare, if you follow the instructions for flashing corectly , you will only load the FW binary file into the phones ROM and you will NOT AFFECT the phones RAM memory where your data is storedOriginally Posted by Ashaneen

Exactly. I have flashed several LG phones and unless something goes wrong you never get a full reset. I lost nothing.Originally Posted by themopedwhiz

I also keep forgetting to mention (but no longer!). With text messages, when you go to erase all messages. It gives you the options to "erase all messages EXCEPT unread" or "erase all messages INCLUDING unread" . Nifty little feature
im really mad that they didnt change that symbols error on the keyboard... that drives me crazzzzzzzzyyyyy!
you can always change T9/WORD to ABC ... it IS a full keyboard .. and ur desktop keyboards dont have T9 :POriginally Posted by DBurnsy3

Quick question I dont really do much but occasionaly use my 9900 for DUN. After flashing will DUN still work or will have to go and re do what I originally did to get it working?
Saw another poster say they were getting a better signal after flashing. Has anyone else noticed this? Sure would be nice not to have to hang my leg out the front window and touch my forehead to not drop a call at home anymore..lol
My upgrade went smoothly!
