How do I put these programs on the Dash. I went to the website, but I can't get them to go to the Dash.

I got it. How the heck do you disable XT9? I want to manually enter text.

I am trying to install that edit to make office mobile allow editing and new documents.

Push Alt+Space when you're composing a message.

Good thinkin', and works perfectly!

However, I still want to throttle the guy that came up with this. Someone had to have the IDEA to add this as a feature. "I know, let's make the phone beep, at a rather loud volume, when someone starts a call -- regardless if the phone is on vibrate or silent!" .. Then someone else had to say "Yeah, good idea!"

Brilliant.

I kinda like the feature. I never lock my phone and the beep tells me if I've accidently called a number when its in my pocket. I think it can be useful but definitely should be added as an option and not default.

I'm having trouble editing Short_IE.ink. How is everyone doing that. WordPad and TC won't save the file. I can't turn off attibs either....

I used activesync. Have you used the application unlocker? What are you trying to change the T Zone button to? Let me know and I'll post the correct one for you.

Part of the reason might be because it not Short_IE.ink.

Can anyone advise, I cant get the Activesync name displayed change to stick. I used PHM to change the name in the registry and reset and it is still there when I check. Connecting to my PC As changes it back to WM_Owner every time. What have I missed? BTW I did not App unlock my Dash but have been able to install applications with no problem. Thanks.

IMPROVE Glyph Cache

HKLM->System->GDI->GLYPHCACHE

click values
highlight and chose limit

change value

default is 16384
change this to 32768 or 65536

i have mine at 65536

has the battery life changed for you at all??

That was a typo. The problem remains. I am unable to edit Short_IE.lnk.

The phone is app unlocked. I'm trying to change it to Task Manager. I'll appreciate the file, but I won't be able to replace it since the file is locked!

copy the file over & edit it on your PC.

it won't let you save the "edited" file with the same name ...but ...

name it to something else .. and then delete the original "Short_IE.lnk" ... and then rename your new file to that name ... now transfer it over to your device & overwrite.

I ran into that same problem when editing with notepad ... so I worked "around" it

BTW ... the extension "lnk" won't show on desktop PC ... it just indicated that it is a "shortcut"
