Motorola M800 Bag Phone Question

Real Quick- is the transmit power on this 3W or is it the typical 0.6W
The box and manual do not confirm this. I did a quick google search and came up with no answers.

i assume this may be common knowledge for the vets here.

Although I never actually checked if it was true, we refer to them as 1.5W.


It is definitively NOT a 3W but its significally stronger than 'regular' digital phone.

The phone puts out 0.6 watts. It does, however, perform much better than most phones because it uses a better antenna, and you can also purchase antennae with higher gain which help as well.

In side by side tests, it does perform close to the same as an analog 3 watt phone, but not quite the same

I second that, the phone is stronger in reception but not at old 6W analog signal

Correct. It does not have more "wattage" than a regular shoe-phone. You need a Wilson amplifier if you want to boost power to 3 watts like the old bag-phones.
