I have just recently purchased an LG VX8600 and I love it. The only problem I have is that I since I have tried to use one of those services that clips an mp3 and sends it to your phone via a pix message, they come out in a horrible, muffled quality. You can't hear the song over the crackle it makes from the speaker. It is a brand new phone so it is not the speaker, my other tones play fine. I have used this service in the same way with previous phones and has been crisp and clear and I have been very satisfied. The only thing i have noticed is that the files I send are mp3's, and when it opens up on my phone they are QCELP files. If anyone has any suggestions or answers I'd greatly appreciate it. I also apologize for the heinously long post!!![]()

Anything I can do to get better quality? Or is it just a Verizon thing?
atm i dont know. i have been sending myself ringers and they are all coming up QCP which is HORRBILE the sound quality is just plain bad. i went to the web site and its under some kinda of upgrade i hope this is temporary. cause in the past i was able to send mp3 and midi formats which sound ALOT better.
Myself as well. Before I switched phones a few days ago I had over a dozen high quality, great sounding ringers... Now I'm stuck with this for the moment I guess. I hope they fix whatever this is REAL soon!
Wow im not sure whats going on.. if they dont fix it.. they will be getting alot of phones turned in for BLOWN SPEAKERS!!
and as far as login on to the site and sending files.. dont waste your time..
.mid .qcp .mp3 .wav NONE work..
pointless.. just another verizon way of making money..
hopefully bitpim will update soon and support the 9400
