I think it's cool to have a Cingular SIM and an AT&T phone. My SIM is a 3G Cingular SIM, so a new one isn't going to really make a difference for me. It's like a piece of history.
Meh.... branded phones. Don't like them. I need an at&t SIM in my SE phone.
Do I have this right?: The new AT&T SIM will work in a locked Cingular phone, but not in a locked AT&T Wireless phone. An old AT&T Wireless SIM will not work in a New AT&T branded, locked phone.

To the OP: anything different from the Cingular 3G SIM? Manual network select (CSP instructions?). Alpha tag masking (EONS?) Have you had the opportunity to test it to see if it has the same CSP and EONS settings as the old Cingular SIM cards?
Don't know, this is a sim that came with a Cingular branded phone I ordered off of premier. I haven't bothered to activate it 'cause my Cingular 3G sim works just fine.

You can pop it in your phone w/o activating it. My old Blue SIM (now deactivated) still causes the network select menu to show itself. Also you can see whether it allows storage of more contact data than the Cingular 3G SIM without having to activate it.
i have a 64k sim in my blackjack. is this "3g" sim any different?
That's what I'm trying to get the OP to answer. Also, it would be interesting to know whether this is a USIM or an ISIM. The ISIM would allow video share calling.
Went to a Cingular (the store is now AT&T) Corporate Store and told them my SIM was screwing up, they gave me an AT&T 3G SIM card for free... after I called customer service and had them note it on the account (just to be sure I would get it for free)! My Cingular 3G SIM is now just sitting on my bookshelf alongside my T-Mobile SIM
