    BT Cab

Someone wrote "Bluetooth Voice Command.cab" that was supposed to enable/fix MS Voice Command 1.6 with WM5. It didn;t work. In fact I think it caused the BT to stop working on all incoming calls. Does anyone know who wrote this or how to reverse it?

We all know that the original BT Audio program which worked like a charm with the DASH, does not work with the C730 and WM6.

I've tried to update the ROM several times, it goes nowhere. Next I will try a hard reset, then the upgrade...

I bought an Altec Lansing BT Stereo speaker system (small) off Ebay....GREAT little toy, sounds excellent....originally $150 from Cingular, can be had for $25 including shipping...get one you be happy you did.

    BT Problem fixed

I made backups all along the way (Sprite Backup) and was able to find a resotre point before I installed that cab, so now the BT is working for incomng calls. The original problem still exists though - voice dialing still does not work thru the BT, but i can live with that.

BTW I bought a Motorola H375 BT...it sounds great & comfortable to wear - the best BT so far.

    MS Voice Command 1.6 bug

Turing off all announcements in the Voice Command setup enables the incoming ring to occur thru the BT. Also, as a note, when you are in a call there is an option under the Menu to turn on/off the handsfree...which is how I finally figured out that VC was interfering with the BT. There is still some bug in VC that does not let you voice dial thru the BT.

    Customize Side Buttons on Cavalier

Does anyone know how to change the default behavior of the side buttons, which currently launch the Camera and Voice Tag (Voice Notes with long hold)?

Forced To Sell My Dopod C730 (htc Cavalier)

I LOVE THIS PHONE! BUT I HAVE TO LET IT GO...

After about a month of owning this phone, my company just switched us to Sprint/Nextel so we can use the walkie talkie. So someone out there is going to benefit from this. I am selling it for only $450 + $10 shipping because I had to buy my new phone myself and I need to get some of my cash back. I have had the Cavalier for approximately 4 weeks and it is immaculate. If you are interested, email me at richard@hometechpc.net and I will send you some close-up pictures showing how clean it is. The phone will come in the original box with adapters and accessories.

This forum has been very helpful so I thought I would offer it here first. In about a week I will be putting it on ebay. The phone works really well and has already been completely unlocked and even comes with a screen protector.

    Thanks for reading...

I use AE Buttons Plus to add functionality to the keys; for a single press to the Voice Tag button it starts my MS VoiceCommand while the long hold enables the Softbank Manner Mode.

    Dopod problem or WM6 problem?

I'm having a very annoying problem here: I have a Dopod, purchased in Australia on January, and I'm facing few very strange problems, which I dont know if are coming from the ROM, WM or my lack of knowledge

First, the sync (w/ Activesync 4.5) with Outlooks makes the Calendar in the Dopod to freeze: it jusr keeps loading and never finishes.

Second, after I sync my IMAP push e-mail stops working. Prior to sync, everything works fine. After the 1st sync, even if only Contacts, my e-mail stops coming.

    Anybody faced it? Any suggestions?

    Thanks a lot!

    Active Sync

Active Sync is known to be buggy.
Open up Microsoft Outlook, and under help click on DETECT & REPAIR.
That may fix some problems with activesync.
Also, after your phone & computer connect, they should be in sync.
At that point you can save your Outlook contacts (or export them to a file) for a backup.

Where do you identify the ROM version at? (I don't see it on my About screen) I have one of the original S630 releases that shows a Radio version of 1.43.50.00, so yours looks to be newer...

It is called HTC Home plugin. Go to xda-developers.com, Cavalier section and find the thread.

Or second option search the google as xda-dev is connected with google search.

I found the ROM info under the Device Information setting (not the About setting) and mine shows 1.18.405.4, so you definitely have a newer ROM version...

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me out as I am new to this smartphone thing. Is there a way to connect to the internet on the phone without the monthly service with T-mobile? as for some reason, my phone doesn't have the wifi button. Thanks in advance.
