alrighty cool..i have the pry tool so i'll try that first...just the guide mentioned unhooking the antenna prior to removing the front plate....so no need to unhook it? also I"m doing the front and back panel...so up to step four is only the back...need the front as well. basically just bought the front and back housing...only doing those
Take battery cover off. Remove battery. Remove 2 philips screws. Remove 2 torx screws. Slid tool from the bottom on back cover and pop it off. For the front, I started by the MS slot, slid the tool under and started prying it off. Look at the new one for the location of clips.
Reverse for install.
how long this take you? so didn't unhook the antenna?
sorry...been long time since i took the thing aprat forgot if there were screws under the antennae or not i guess u're gonna have to unhook it there should be...lolz didn't know wat i was thinking the other day sorry...Originally Posted by Xtracrispy69

Well, since I said nothing about removing the antenna, no, you don't remove the antenna. Just do exactly as I said and it will come apart. Nothing is removed except the 4 screws, front and back plate, battery cover and keypad.
Took me about 15 minutes the first time, about 5 the second. Just make sure you have a good phillips screw driver that fits well, you don't want to strip those screws (I got mine from an eye glasses repair kit).
alright glad about the antenna...didn't see why I'd have to unhook it if I"m only removing the front and back plate...rather then the middle... countdown is on until the new housing arrives!
and why i mentioned the antenna unhook as the first few steps mentioned unhooking the antenna prior to removing the faceplate
how was the removal of front and back plate, specifically the prying?
