    Launch Application from Internet Button

Ok, I've seen the posts regarding launching a picture, song, or video file from the internet button on my k800. I have been able to get this to work, however I was wanting to know if you could launch an application, such as opra mini, from this button?

Ideally you should be able to. The only problem is that when the .jar is installed to the phone I don't know what the executable file is. Like on a pc the .exe is the program used to launch the app. Any ideas?

How is it possible to even change what that key does?

How is it possible to even change what that key does? I know that with the way the phone is right now its not possible. There is no option to change where that key directs you. But if there is or you can figure it out that would be nice.

You can create a new bookmark and have it point to a location on your phone. Then have the bookmark set as your homepage and whenever you hit the internet button it will open up that file.

on k800 the path is file:///card/picture/<filename> or

Ok so I enter that in for the bookmark and have the bookmark set as homepage? So when it tries to access the bookmark it will go into the phone because of that address?

I added it as a bookmark and tried to go to it. Its doesn't do anything. Not even a status bar trying to load anything. Im sure im doing it wrong. I want to have that open up my camera album on my memory stick.

lol... u cant link to the photo album.. it's just a folder with ur pics... thats why. u would have to link to a certain file.

and the opera mini thing... yeah ME and the OP are both looking to do that. no solution for that yet man. we have to figure out where the jar files are stored on the phone. maybe i might have to go check out a diff forum where they have the paths for all files.

As far as I know you can only link to a specific file, and it can only be in the picture (not camera) folder, music folder or video folder on the memory card.

    For example I have:

    file:///card/picture/picture1.jpg

The jars are stored on the memory stick in this path:

    file:///card/system/ams/

but the problem is that the system folder is a hidden folder and I dont know what file is the "executable" to launch an app
