I have the showcase for my 3G iPod and I love it....best case I've had. I bought the showcase for my iPhone yesterday and it's going back.
The iPod showcase has a secure latch closure, the iPhone version is hinged on the back, towards the bottom and is supposed to snap closed. It won't close all the way and the construction does not seem to be up to the quality of the iPod version. The snap closure does not feel secure.
That bad, huh? I own the iSee for my iPhone and I replaced the iPod version with the Showcase, which I love. I got an email saying the Showcase for iPhone shipped and I'd love to get one, but now I'm not so sure. How is the belt clip on the Showcase? Is it the same as the iSee?

This is just my experience...I love the iPod version of the showcase...but am very disappointed with the iPhone version.
I didn't really look at the belt clip since I was not going to use the holster.
Just got my clip from Seidio, looks very nice and real rubbery. The inside is covered with velvet which will protect the screen when you put the face in first. The rubber clip at the top feels solid which will prevent the phone from falling out.
The only downside is taking out the phone, you'll have to be careful so you don't drop it. It is a little tough to take it out.

You guys really need to look at Krussell and see if they make a case for the iPhone. I have one on my Nokia and its GREAT! Fits perfect, quality is perfect.

Subscribing to this thread. Yeah Krussell has some nice covers. I just went through this whole shopping thing for my 8525 three weeks ago. Now with the price drop, I bought myself a IPHONE and now here I am again looking for a cover. I might go with KRUSSELL again, I haven't seen their case for the IPHONE. I still need to read through most of these post before I make my final decision.
I just went to Krussell website and they don't seem to make a classic case for the iPhone like the one I have which is a SHAME! I would buy it in a heart beat if they did. Maybe they will and I hope they do!

Ok, all you guys with skins for your phone, any of them let you use the iPhone dock? I'm pretty sure the invisible shield ones can, but are any of the others thin enough to allow you to use the supplied dock?

I just got one in black on Wednesday. It stayed on the phone for all of 30 minutes before I took it off and went back to my leather case
As a rubber case it's good. It's reasonably snug and not all that bulky. I'm still using the screen protector that came with it but it's still not the fit I want in my case. The rubber covers all the buttons and controls, making their reactions slower. I don't like having to feel for the volume up/down or mute and the power buttons. And the hard plastic shield is such a loose fit as to be useless.
Till I see what the TuffWrap looks like I'm sticking with my incipio Executive leather clamshell
