***BEWARE*** of the griffin elan snap in case. my favorite form factor, but I have had 2 clips break off the back of the case. My phone was in the case once and fell into my car, the other time luckily the phone was in my pocket.
I called Griffin about my Elan snap-in case which broke the day I go the Contour and they told me they were aware of the issues people were having with the clip and were going to send me a new case with the old design and the revised version when its released.
That is just what the Seidio clip is. It works just like the blackberry clips, in fact the first one of their products I bought was a blackberry clip. I guess that is why I like my iphone clip so much.
Yep mine came in today, excatly what I have been wanting, thanks. If I had found it before it would have saved me 4 cases and a couple hundred dollars lol.
anyone else out there in the same boat as I? None of the cases i've seen thus far seem to be exactly what i'm looking for... they just don't strike me like some cases i've seen for ipods in the past...

I know what you mean the Siedio holster was the 5th one I tried as well, now I spend all my time hiding those unused cases from my wife.
I still have th Seido for my Pearl. I am waiting for the hard case that will fit a holster. Seido, you will see, will make a holster to fit a skinned phone.
I have the showcase for my 3G iPod and I love it....best case I've had. I bought the showcase for my iPhone yesterday and it's going back.
The iPod showcase has a secure latch closure, the iPhone version is hinged on the back, towards the bottom and is supposed to snap closed. It won't close all the way and the construction does not seem to be up to the quality of the iPod version. The snap closure does not feel secure.
I just picked up the Showcase from the Apple Store. I agree that the snap closure is not the best but it does make it a little slimmer than the iSee that I have also tried. There is a tiny gap at the corners that might be from the fact that I have the screen protector from the Apple Store on it. The fit is really snug, no sliding around yet like the iSee. It looks much nicer to me than the iSee and the rubber edges makes it less slippery.
I have also tried the Speck Toughskin, the Incase Folio, and the Incase Sportcase and this seems to be my favorite so far.
That Contour looks awesome and looks like it could survive a good drop...Is the added weight really noticeable once the case is on? Does it feel heavier?
