You have a GSM handset. That code is for CDMA and TDMA phones only.

To change the operator logo (alpha tag is on TDMA and CDMA phones) you need to use a data cable and software such as Logomanager, Logoexpress or Oxygen Phone Manager. You can then upload a 14 X 72 pixel .bmp or .nol file to your phone.

I'm using a Nokia 2280 CDMA and I don't have any data cable. First of all I'd like to know how can I cnstruct one data cable by myself and where will I get necessary softwares to get that work.

Actually I need to bypass the Service Programming Code (SPC) so that I might change my mobile ID and leach into some one else's account.

Also, is it possible to use a GSM SIM in Nokia 2280 some how?

    Please help me guys..............

    Angry 3586i & these codes

all all Well My take on these codes is this......... *#639# was the first one that I used on My new 'lil Nokia 3586i/Bell Mobility, it killed my web browser, cuz I didn't have a security code!!! That was NOT quite enough FUN for this Guy!!, so I proceeded to enter the, *3001#12345#, which also works for the phone.............. BUT........... now the phone matches the browser, N.F.G.! NOTHING WORKS!! Pretty soon, I might have to send the phone/paper-weight away to be fixed by Somebody, waaaaay better than Me, at phone fixing, IF THAT'S POSSIBLE!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR.......... Moral of My story is be CAREFUL what You punch into Your Phone!!! Mine is 3 weeks old, and I have Not been able to use it for almost a week now!!

Maybe you should tell what you were trying to do that you got into this trouble. I'm not quite sure why anyone would randomly punch in codes into their phone especially if they didn't have any idea what the codes are supposed to do! Am I missing something here?

I was trying to unlock my color phone, that only shows black & white pics., not realizing that if I punched in that particular code, that I would have to have a security code, or My phone would go PPFFFFFFFFT!!! That is a TDMA/CDMA code. I don't believe anyone other than a Nokia service center can activate field test.

    HELLO
I am using the NOKIA 5120I and have tryed guessing my Lock code until it came up with the security code. I then tyed guessing the security code but nothing untill i found out about the *3001#12345# trick and tryed that thinking it would work. I followed the steps thinking it would work i changed to security code back to 12345 then powered off the phone and entered 12345 and it said code error no matter wat i change the security code to they just dont seem to work! Is my phone stuffed or is their some other error i need to fix?
