    Found a Telus Phone.....

Yeah my buddy found a cell phone thats from telus, he said it worked for a while but then died because the owner probly cancelled the account. Is there any way he can reuse the phone or possibly sell it somewhere?

phone is a paperweight. you could probably sell it but this may not be entirely legal and definitely unethical. Either way, no one will be able to activate it (if it was reported as stolen).

Sell it? ....find a way to return it to the owner.

Think about it like this: if you lost your phone (wallet, laptop, PSP...ect) wouldn't you want someone to return it to you?

He found a phone and was using it and now expects us to help him in any way, shape or form? Good luck! I hope bad things happen to this scum bag.

If it were a Rogers or Fido phone he could have reused it. But not a Bell or Telus phone.

I would go to a Telus store, and tell them that you found the phone and they can track down the owner and notify them to come and retrieve the phone. Also, the store could ship the phone to the owner for little or no cost.

I would do the right thing. As others have mentioned, if you lost something, would you not want it back?

Reporting a Telus phone as stolen severely limits the resale price and the odds of getting the network activation on it. I am sure there are ways to activate it, but it involves software tampering and other illegal means.

How can people be such cowards?!?!

Tell you buddy to do something good and return the damn phone to Telus, and Telus can then track it to the owner. I hate people like this!

Some idiot found my phone last year and wanted me to give him $100 for him to return it to me. I would've met up with him along with a cop friend but the little b*tch never showed up!

Keep in mind ... what your buddy has done is technically THEFT!!!!! He is in possession of a lost/stolen item, and if he tries to sell it/is found with it, it can backfire on him pretty good!
