First of all, thank you all for this handy guide!

I've been messing with my new Chocolate and trying to get WAP to work. I have edited the paramtable1.fil and am trying to use the zak proxy. However, I was wondering why for my phone under "My Number" it shows a number under [Mobile Identification #] that is different from my [Mobile Device #]. And this different number is my username when I check after pressing ##77647268550 (##program8550) and hitting the SEND key.

Do I need to change my Zak account to reflect this different mobile id # instead of my phone number?

i used the other number i found under mobile identification # for activating wap on zaksenterprises, but when i check my online account there isn't any record that i've made any calls. am i doing something wrong by using the other number?

It takes a couple of days for data to show up. It doesn't show up right away like voice calls.

Yes, it should. I'd probably consult one of the LG Venus threads that might deal with this though, just in case, like the hacking thread perhaps.

Has anyone else's wap been blocked? I cant edit any of the wap settings using the ##program8550 method. Am I going to have to edit my paramtable file all the way to do this?

Open the paramtable1.fil in a text editor and the hex values start like this in the top left ... the very first row:
30 1E 00 ........
You want to change it to:
30 1E 20 ........
Once you do that, you will be able to edit the proxy settings and Homepage url from the WAP Settings menu on the phone itself.
After you replace the paramtable1.fil and reboot the phone, of course.

To put it simply, it's (generally at least somewhat limited) internet on your mobile phone.

Depends if you are on a Nationwide plan or not. The Nationwide plans charge $1.99/mb for data.
