Can a Katana I from Qwest be activated for Sprint?

I was waiting until July so I can get $75 dollars off a Katana I, and now it's discontinued. The new one with the EVDO seems cool but I was waiting it out so I can get another Katana for cheap, and now they don't even sell it anymore. Is it possible to buy one from Qwest and activate it for Sprint?

And honestly I'm not even using any kind of Vision service at this point so I don't really need the EVDO.

no, i dont think. sprint has every esn of all their phones in a database and if you give them an esn that isn't a sprint-branded one, they'll say no. Even though qwest and sprint are affilates or whatever, im pretty sure it's not gonna work.

i can understand them not doing it for verizon since they have completely different menus and use brew instead of java for games etc but i would think a qwest phone is like the same thing what a bunch of jerks

yeah, I think the qwest phone is the same thing, but I'm not 100% sure. It's just one of those rules, though. Sorry!
