wow.. has anyone's bill this month gone up?? I got a text message saying my bill amount (always the same) so I was a little late (2 days late in paying) so I go online and it says the bill amount is like $138 something ya-ya but the text message to my phone was $72.62.. then so I went to pay online for what it was saying $62.22 and then it was still saying I needed to pay $84 to redstore the service (I did not) and I get a text message stating that I have 250 whenever min for my billing cycle.
So I got curious and looked at last month's bill and I see the taxes and surcharges were $6.55 for the month of Nov with the bill of $67.95 and Oct. the bill was $73.94 with taxes of $7.14
my question is how did the bill get higher if I paid in full last month?

Can I activate my FlexPay SIM on my TMo ToGo phone, if the phone has been previously used on ToGo?

As a follow up, I'd like to let people know (which I just found out) you can't do international roaming or international Blackberry use on Flexpay. You also can't go from Flexpay to a T-Mobile contract without losing your number, so now I have to do the whole porting manoeuvre to ATT again to get international BB use on a regular monthly plan.
I ran into a problem in which my flex-pay phone didn't work when travelling in Canada. called up customer service when I returned and they turned on intl roaming which the rep said was disabled for some reason.Originally Posted by modoki
T-Mo ToGo has intl roaming (in Canada at least and I think also in Mexico) and I'm pretty sure it will be the same with flexpay once you get customer service to enable it.
I'm using a BB pearl but I don't expect the data plan to work in Canada.

I'm wondering if no international roaming is because Flexpay is payment in advance of a month. International roaming would involve extra charges that you have not paid for. With prepaid when you run out of your balance the phone stops working. With Flexpay since it's bill in advance there's no way that the extra charges could be immediately debited to the account. I'm assuming that with Flexpay the monthly rate paid is always the same that's how you could always prepay the next month. The only way that the rate would go up is if a tax rate went up or something like that.Originally Posted by jeffwe

You are forgetting about the flex account part... (I think thats what they call it)
The international roaming uses funds from the "flex account" side of the flexpay system.
I think it (the international roaming) will stop working if you don't have any money in your flex account.
It doesn't work like that. CS told me unless I wanted to roam in Canada or Mexico (and let's be honest, the world is a little bigger than that) international roaming and international BB is impossible.Originally Posted by jeffwe
I know if you use all of ur "whenever" mins u can still use ur "night & weekend" mins but does the same standard apply to "myfave" plans to the "myfave" numbers?
I am pretty sure that it does, just like the unlimited nights and weekends.Originally Posted by pimppoet

hello all, i just purchased an unlocked sony ericson s500i and i wanted to activate my phone using t-mobile as a provider. would it be more beneficial for me to get just a regular contract and plan ( still need to buy a sim card and activate how much would that be?) or to get a flexaccount? Do i need to purchase a phone at the store to open a flex account?
personal preference. you don't need to purchase a phone for either. if you prefer prepaid(billed in advance), go flexpay. if you'd rather have a normal bill after you use the service, go post-paid. you can sign a 1 year contract since there's no phone being purchased.
so how much do u think itd be if i went with the 1 yr contract? for the activation fee and the sim card? Also how much is unlimited texting?
Pricing varies from store to store. This applies with authorized dealers, while corporate stores should be the same (unless a sale is happening in a certain market).Originally Posted by golbez03
There is no activation fee with Flexpay. You just have to pay for the phone (if any) plus the first month's bill. The SIM is included with the purchase of the phone (even if the phone is "free").
Unlimited texting is $14.99 per line (or $19.95 on family plans).
