Just so you guys know, I was able to use the Visa Promo code (-$100 on ocean) and NOT do auto. payments. I ordered through helio 1800 number, and the lady never heard of the promo code but it worked. AND THERE IS NO MYSPACE NO CONTRACT CODE ANYMORE

you can only use one code(i think), and the myspace promo has been over for a long time now. IT IS GONE.

Are you sure?? Sometimes CS fails to inform people of the automatic payments.

If you order online using the code, there is an option to check for auto pay or manual pay. So at least if you're ordering online you can select manual pay and not have the payment automatically taken from your account.

also that deposit thing, the guy at the local helio store tried charging me like 756$ for the phone and activation and such.

claimed a 350$ deposit.

Few things
#1. I was offered a "corp discount" of $100 off the ocean friday. I called saturday to order and they said it ended friday.
#2. I used the visa promo code saturday (which the sales rep knew nothin bout) but it worked. Then I said "I dont want autobill pay" and she said "Yea I just checked no in the box because no customers ever want it anyways"

And bam it worked.

Yup, depending on ur credit they can require a deposit of up to $350. You get it back after a year of good service.
