Doesnt that kind of defeat the purpose of a prepay/ pay as you go type service? If I wanted to put down a huge deposit because of a credit check, well I would just get a regular monthly bill plan, and shell out the extra money up front. Requiring a deposit on a prepay though? That does not seem right to me.

They have both. On thier website they say you can get services "A LA Cart" or "Pay as you go". Helio.com's page listing "Pay as you go" Now maybe I am misunderstanding what they mean, but usually pay as you go means prepaid/ rechargeable...etc, with no cred check, deposits...etc.

Also, this very forum is in the "US Prepaid / MVNO discussion board correct?

Pay as you go refers only to data not minutes.

This is not a pay as you go company.

The slash is an OR not an AND, so it's US Prepaid OR MVNO not US Prepaid MVNOs or anything like that.

Knock Knock whos there? apparently not your brain.... lol im jk dont get offended. Helio is not a prepay company. It is MVNO which basically means its a wireless or service company that doesnt have its own network.....

I got my Ocean from the store that actually owns ************ and they gave me $175 to pay off my Verizon contract, on top of a great deal on the Ocean itself. I don't see any promo codes on their website about that, but the store is apparently doing it. However, the web page has some good deals too.
