I actually work for T-Mobile and let me be the first to tell you.... the Blast sucks. It was supposed to be released with our HotSpot@Home service but the damn thing has no wi-fi. Other than that, the mp3 player is decent but you have to stay inside the mp3 screen to listen. Unlike the Wing or DASH where you can play your mp3s in the background while you play a relaxing game of tetris. Camera is alright but you have to slide the phone in order to use it. Call quality was good. Overall 7.5/10. If you have any other questions, just ask me.

This phone was never planned as a HotSpot@Home phone.

This was targeted as a mainstream messaging phone.

I got it for instant $99.99. Ok, I'm still a newb. Someone explain to me why there is no USB cable and how do I get one?

    1. it is a really cheap feeling plastic. My t509 is better built.
    2. Speaker phone is weak and crackly. (big gripe with the t509 as well)

Why does it have to be an ordeal to get mp3's on this thing? No Microsd card included, no usb cable. Is this normal for a mp3 capable phone? I honestly have no idea. I made another trip to Wally World and bought a USB to BT adaptor and Sandisk 1Gb microSD card. Then went home and transferred my Rolling Stones 40 licks to the phone.

The display is barely visible in sunlight. Comparatively my t509 screen is infinitely better. Well, maybe not a deal breaker since it's a common LCD issue but be warned.

Some problems getting the microSD card to lock in place. If I can get one from the store with a fully functional card reader I can overlook the display issue. I like this phone otherwise.

Battery Life- Ran it all the way down after purchase while transferring files. From a full charge this AM to now 4:15pm I'm at two bars from three. That's with approx thirty texts and 7 calls and one picture taken. No music play or anything else. Again, I only have my t509 to compare to and it rarely budged from my usage. UPDATE 6:28 pm down to one 1 bar and at 15 calls total. No additional text or photo nor any music play.

Card slot issue solved! I have to use a key and it is a multiple retry ordeal.

Save pricing is probably a little more discounted, I'm guessing $80 for a 2 year and $130 for a 1? Thanks.

I'm off to Bestbuy or somewhere to get a USB/microsd combo. I bought this phone partly for mp3 player capability. Out of the box it has zero capability for this usage as far as I can tell.
