    w580i vs. w810i vs. k550i

    Hi,

I've had a w810i for a little over a year now, however Sony Ericcson has had it in their possession for over 3 months now

Supposedly it's on its way back to me... but they "can not provide" a tracking number.

Regardless, I ordered a w580i two days ago, but canceled the order because of the following uncertanties:

Among the w810/k550/w580, which has the best camera? I was really satesfied with my w810, and I assume the k550i is just as good (if not better?), but what about the non-af on the w580i?

What are other advantages/disadvantages of each? How are the screens?

Can the w810 be flashed to resemble the appearence of the k550i themes/OS?

    w810i. auto focus.

then probably k550i. auto focus but smaller lens.

then w580i because no auto focus.

no you can't flash w810i with k550i software

Thanks for the quick reply- what if I add the k790a into the mix? Is that camera significantly better? How would you compare the size difference between it and the w810... is the k790 as bulgy and large as it appears?

yes. k790a cam is the best. 3.2megapixels and autofocus.

its not that bulky and large , i used to have it and i might be getting another in a few hours, but the cam cover bulges a tad too much for my taste.

W810i sounds the best - but it's getting outdated fast [IMHO].

If you need A2DP and autofocus, go with the K550i. If you prefer the W610i's styling over the K550i, get the W610i instead. If you prefer the K550i's styling over the W610 but want Walkman 2.0 and flash themes, you can easily get a K550i and flash it to a W610i.

The W580 has a 'shake' feature, along with a bigger screen and a 2MP(without autofocus), but the cracking keypad may become a more serious issue. The K550i is known to creak like crazy (mine doesn't thankfully).

If you really want a bigger screen along with more stuff like fitness applications, go for the W580. I don't know how reliable the cracking keys are though - just my $0.02

K550's camera is worse than the W810. Slow shutter. I would go with the K550 and flash to W610 to get the Walkman player.

Yea, I was expecting to upgrade... but it seems there's no real better solution than the w810? Anyone else have feelings on the k790 size?

Well almost all of SE phones look disproportionate on screens. The almost always seem bigger than they are, and the K790 is no exception. It looks huge IMO. I've never seen one in person.

K790 looks much better in person in my opinion.

K790a isn't that big, just the cam cover tends to bulge out a bit but not enough to make any difference to me.
