I have a sony ericsson phone and was really skepitical about un branding it i tired this and it actally worked i down loaded the drm packager the sony one and my phone explorer and now im enjoying and song i want as my ring tunes thank you so much for this
this works on the w580i cause i just spent all evening doing it it put them on my memory stick though and i put the memory stick in my computer and added to my ring tones file it was great
i have a w580i and it worked on my phone no prob i added like 15 songs right my itunes files i downloaded the drm sony packager and my phone expolrer and it was a piece of cake
I tried with a theme in .dm extension put it in others folder and tried to install. There was no option to install. Only "send" option was available.
Same with MP3s in .dm extension. No other option except "send".
the program above really does work your phone need to be on phone mode not file transfer and when you drag the songs you turned into drm inot the big whit box it goes into your phone and this works and you dont need to de brand your phone thats nice that at@t let you use mp3's as ring tones but rogers doesnt thats why this works
hi i used the drm packager by sony and the my phone explorer make sure you have your phone in phone mode and not file mamager mode you convert your song in the drm packager then go to where you have the song stored and it will have a lock on it i get my songs to go to a seperatr folder on my desktop then take that song with the lock . go into my phone explorer and click on filles on the right hand side only once and it should say in the box memory stick and phone dont put the song in either one of these drag it below them and the song will automatically go to yoiur phone my phone says receiving the (name of the song) it does pop up as error occured on the computer screen but ignore that totally on your phone it should say saved in music(a folder) on memory stick then use now just click yes and there you go ive done this about 20 times and it does work i have a w5801 and its branded its a pink one any probs send me a message just make sure your phone is on phone mode and you dont drag the song to the wrong spot
i have the w580i and i am using the sony ericsoon drm packager DUI program i am using the forward lock as the setting make sure you convert the song with this program then you need to have the program My Phone explorer and when you plug yur phonr in make sure it is in phone mode not file mode, then open the progrma and go to where it says files just open that but dont click on memory stick or phone memory you will see in the program that it is divided into 2 parts both saying the same thing. you want to use the bigger side . also make sure you can located where the song goes after you change your format i have mone going into a speeratr folder on my desktop take the song you changed it will have a big lock on it and drag it into the big part of the my phone exploer program you have opened dont put it into memory card or phone memory just drop it in the whit part under neath it should then go to your phone the program says there was an error but your phone should say file recieved do you want to save to memeory or use it you can save it to your memory then you can use it as a ring tune hope this helps cause it does work i do this all the time i just put the new theme song for knight rider on my phone

i would have no probs getting a very good 3.2 mp phone if one has gps and associated features. can;t find one thats great.
Have got the chance to get the lg secret but had a play and it's not great.
hi im an at&t user and i have a 580 SE model and i have to know if its true that AT&t users cannot bypass the softwear and use our own mp3s as ringtones like everyone else.
