What does this mean/why is this happening and how can I fix this please? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Any suggestions?

i have tried as said to no prevail, i have even tried using drm set to forward lock method and it did all what it was suppose to, got msg on phone saying would you like to play msg, but set as ring tone still not highlighted, when i have drm set to the combined method as all say to do it places drm in other folder and just no pop up msg.

OK for you guys having problems doing the DRM way or have ATT do this and it WILL work..

    Download AVR converter at www(dot)miksoft(dot)net/products/MobAmrCon14-setup(dot)zip
open and install but dont start yet. DL the update @ www(dot)miksoft(dot)net/products/amrUp15(dot)exe update install
Now open up the AVR converter.
    Select WAVE/MP3 to AMR
then in first box click browse and find the mp3 you want
in second box click browse and select name and where to save it
then click drop down menu under select MR>select 12.2
    then click convert now.

now find the .amr file you made and upload it to your phone via phone mode and my phone explorer
once phone receives avr it will pop up saying use now and you will have option to use as ring tone
its not cd quality but does do the job and will be full length

This was used to make a mp3 as a rington on a se w580i on att service

Follow these steps and you'll be good to go!

    What you need:
    DRM Packager 1.35
    MyPhoneExplorer

    Creating a DRM'd MP3 file:
    1. Install and open DRM Packager 1.35
    2. Drag and drop the MP3 file into the window and click on Create DRM Content.

    Importing MP3 ring tone:
    1. Plug in your w580i. IMPORTANT: Choose Phone Mode
    2. Open up MyPhoneExplorer.
    3. On the left side, click on down arrow beside the word Files.
    4. You will now see Memory Stick and Phone Memory on right side window.
IMPORTANT: Do not go into memory stick or phone memory
    5. Drag and drop your .dm MP3 ring tone into the white window. After successfully transferring, you will not notice if it is done on your computer window.
    6. Check on your phone. It will have a pop up saying you have transferred a music file, click yes to install it into the Music folder.
    7. After that another pop up will come up asking you how to use it. In the list of options, choose "Ring tone" and you are done!

Keep in mind, if you try to install it in a ring tone folder, it will not work. You have to let the phone install the file in a folder for you.

Having said that, now your Rogers w580i is basically all set. You can have your own MP3 ring tone, AND you can play any MP3 music file without having to DRM them on Walkman player.

    Thanks

This ringtone method works for a Fido Ericsson z310a as well

just one thing, when you go to accept the download on the phone, push the round ok button in the center, not the one on the left, like the phone screen suggests

Protected successfully means it worked! Go find drm folder and the file will be there!
usually the folder goes to where your music is stored!

Follow instructions and read "IMPORTANT" message!
Most of the work is done on your computer not your phone; just make sure when you plug it in you go to Phone Mode
