not really sure why anyone is having issue's with this. i've put custom ringers on 2 of my se's (w810 and w580) without any issue's as well as on numerous friends se's (3 w300's 2 w580's 2 w810's and a k850) also without any issue's.
are the programs installed correctly? all the drivers installed for the phone's correctly? are you copying the drm file or the original mp3 file?
k.. so i got everything set up..
my phone says its my ring tone..
but when ppl call me, there's a different sound that comes out..
and no i dnt have the "set ringtune" for the ppl calling me..
it SHOULD work perfectly fine cuz apparently its my phone's ringtone now.
but the sound is different.
Thanks so much for this article - it was a quick simple fix to what could otherwise have been an expensive project. Ie purchasing & downloading ringtones from rogers + paying for data transfer.
I tried with a theme in .dm extension put it in others folder and tried to install. There was no option to install. Only "send" option was available.
Same with MP3s in .dm extension. No other option except "send".
I have the same problem on my w580i. I tried every method listed here and it didn't work.
I used "combined delivery", "binary encoding type" and didn't change anything else for the configuration of the DRM packager.
No matter whether I dragged or used right click to "copy" the .dm file into the root menu of the phone file under the phone mode, the phone only received the file and could never recognize it as a music file. It just saved it in its "other file" and couldn't use it by any means.
I've been driven crazy by this ****y problem. Please help me! Thanks!
