    heres what i'm looking for.

Since Albuquerque has a no handheld phone law now, i'm looking for something for my wife, because i'm not in the mood to pay for a $250 ticket, and the last thing she needs while driving is another excuse to get pulled over.

Plus the safety factor. Her passenger grab handles are apparently well used, or so her girlfriend tells me.

The three ideal features would be
1: USB charging port so it can share the existing USB/mini EMU charger thats already in the car for her razr
    2. Decent standby time... plus auto shutoff would be nice. She rarely charges her phone when she needs to, it tends to live at that single orange bar most of its life.
    3. vibrate feature would be nice, sometimes she doesnt feel her phone on her belt or pocket, or worse, leaves it on vibe in her purse.

I'm looking at the H700 in plum simply because of its color, she likes purple, although I dont think she'll go for the fold out feature.

Shes used a jabra of the 200/250 design in the past, and she found the behind the ear style comfortable (as do i, but i've discovered that the h300 is the only BT for me, because of the replaceable AAA battery instead of charging is what i need)

all bluetooth earpieces have auto shutoff.... when the battery goes dead j/k
plantronics make a model 655(665?) that should fill the bill nicely.
its an in ear type, has excellent sound on both ends, is comfortable, has a port that you put the unit in when not using that charges it thats about the size of a big ballpoint pen. as far as a mini usb for the main charger Im not sure and it doesnt, if I remember correctly, have vibrate but it is a very good unit. the Plantronics 510 "feels" like a Jabra 250 when worn but doesnt vibrate either
Jabra 8010 will have vibrate, Blueant v12 has vibrate and both have very good standby/talk time but are not in ear type

Go for the H700 purple. I meant to say it with tongue-in-cheek, but you say it will be paired with a Razr and I believe that manufactures bluetooth devices work best when paired together. Buy it at BestBuy and if it sounds like your on a speaker phone or there is a lot of background noise take it back because there are better BT headsets. Don't buy it if there is no return policy. Look at the User Opinions on cnet, their experience is probably going to be yours. Check out the cnet user opinions of the BH-900.

I might just get one dirt cheap, and if she doesnt like it, no big loss. Originally, i thought she wouldnt like the open/fold feature, but she said she can deal with it.
She had my h300 on most of the day, and i guess it worked for her, despite her "i dont like the hook things, my ears are weird"

When I saw "dirt cheap" in your post my first thought was that you were buying a knock off from a site selling fake ones. I hope you pay the price to get an authentic device, even if it's not the absolute lowest cost. I got my BH-900 from BeachAudio . com. They are a reputable online distributor and I know it will not be a fake.
