Going to be going to school in boston (boston university) and i'll be heading up there soon... how's 3G coverage, and coverage in general?
Good, if you stay in Boston.
Should be OK, but it really depends. 3G is spotty but is good in the downtown area. EDGE works well as a backup.
I've been in and around Boston and coverage always seemed good....

at&t has the east covered
What's up with the cell coverage from Conn to I 90. I know there are big hills or whatever there. I talk to a guy I know who leaves from that area to Mass. Hits I 90. Alot of dropped calls.Originally Posted by DRC72
I drive I-90 from 495 to Albany all the time. There is one coverage hole when you get into NY, but other then that the coverage is non-stop. Are you sure it was I-90? I-90 doesn't go into CT.Originally Posted by CyberMoto
I usually get pretty good service on the Mass Pike... AT&T must be working on the towers out there.Originally Posted by CyberMoto
I live north of boston, and can report that sevice has deteriorated seriously of late. After two years or so of flawless service, my rate of disconnects has skyrocketed in the last six weeks or so. I guess this may point to tower maintenance or upgrades, so I hope it will pass, but it has really got to the point that a given call is 50-50 in terms of a drop. These calls are made with a Sync, E70, and V3xx.
Hopefully the 3G footprint is expanding... at&t cannot seem to add without disrupting the old...Originally Posted by mec31
i live in the boston metrowest area and the coverage is great. 3G all around and few, if any significant holes. coverage in the BU area is the same, although i can't speak for points north.
Coverage is fine in the Boston metro area.
Samsung is definitely not known for good RF. The V3xx is not that good either from what I read.Originally Posted by mec31
idk abt the RF of an E70-2, but try a 6030b and if calls still drop then ur doomed
