now that things have settled down in here, I'll try asking this again. Anyone think they can tackle this?

This vibe THEN ring thing is getting on my nerves. I don't mind it, but it vibes for so long before it rings. is there some way to change vibe then ring from 'vibe pulse' (the longest vibe style, which plays twice before it rings), to say 'vibe dot' or 'vibe dash'? Thats a good enough conciliation prize if no1 can figure out vibe&ring...

hi, first post here, yes i am so not good with this kind of thing, so i was wondering if someone could make it nice and easy for me, I use the w385 from telus. and im tryin to send a ringtone from my computer to the phone. i tryed all the stuff you said at hte beginning of this thread but still i have no luck. if someone could tell me: where to get everything from, what formats things have to be in. like a play by play almost. to get this set up right.
i have bluetooth and the usb cable all working correct. (i think)

But seriously. Anyone found any firmware for this phone? FOr verizon users, p2kcommander works well for the ringtone and wallpaper trick. But what about flashing away verizon's firmware. Has anyone found a leaked version of Telus firmware or Alltel firmware yet? (I think it would have to be Telus. Not sure if Alltel even has this phone set up)

Oh and for verizon people trying to get games, our phone does NOT support Java, therefore, no games. We have BREW, Telus has JAVA. So that previous post with instructions for getting bejeweled 2 and other games on our phones will not work with us. There is no way to do it until we get rid of Verizon's firmware.

Why is it so hard for people to grasp that this is a TELUS forum? we couldn't care less what works for verizon... if you want to talk about verizon i suggest going over the the VERIZON fourm and starting a thread called "W385 hacking thread" and go nuts... just leave us the hell alone. This thread has already almost died once because verizon people cant get into their tiny little brains what works for TELUS doesn't work for verizon and vice versa. I am also tired of wading through pages of verizon crap to learn what i need to hack my TELUS phone.

Quit leaching, start your own thread in your own board and talk about your verizon crap there!

Hello this is my first time in this forum. I just purchased this phone and i find that i also have only the two directories at my disposal for loading Java games, the /a/brew/mod/jbed/Installed/ and /a/brew/mod/jbed/Resource/ folders. The one suggested does not exist and i can only guess that it is because i have yet to download a game to it. When i download the first game would the phone create this directory or do i have to do it myself? I am on a plan so this is not pay and talk.
