Any advantage to buying plan/phone at Costco?

I will probably be switching from ATT to Verizon in October. Was wondering if there's any advantages to signing up at Costco's Verizon kiosk as opposed to a Verizon store? Anyone have experience buying a Verizon plan/phone at Costco?

    thx

I know your phone selection at Costco will be more limited than at a VZW store.

Preview the phones in the store, then order them online.

Unless you want to negotiate prices, etc. Then you should go to a Verizon store. You'd be surprised how much they'll lower prices.

The other difference buying at Costco versus a VZW store is more than likely on your way out you can get a slice of pizza or a hotdog.

Some people on here have even gotten better prices at the Circuit City Verizon. Check the ads. In my experience, its best to check the phones at both Circuit City and Verizon, since I've noticed at times, them carrying different phones.

    Costco return policy

Some people have said that if you buy from Costco the verizon phone is covered by the same return policy as other electronics from Costco. If you're ever not happy you can return it. If that's true than that makes getting the plan/phone at Costco a better deal.

The pizza is so-so. The hotdogs are where it's at.

Well i went to Costco and asked the verizon rep what if any advantages there are to buying a phone/plan at Costco. She said the phones are cheaper, no activation fee and you get an accessory pack. I asked if getting a verizon phone at Costco meant that it's covered by Costco's return policy and she said no. I guess Costco must have added cell phones to the return policy exempt list.

I had a rather poor experience at the Costco kiosk. I didn't realize there was a difference as the language sounds pretty much the same plus I am a tad hard of hearing.

Anyway, they carried the phone I was sure I wanted so I bought it. Turns out it doesn't work well with either of the bluetooth sets I tried so I took it back. Only thing is they carry a total of 4 phones and the one i got was the best of the lot.

Now I'm working with a Verizon manager to try and square things away, but it hasn't been much fun. I am confident my situation will end well, but no more kiosks for me.

I've not thought about it, but isn't buying on-line the same as from the store, only cheaper? Can't you exchange your phone in the store, etc.?

I know this is off-topic, but I'm surprised nobody mentioned the chicken bakes. Mmmm...
