PNG does not support animation, but there is a variant called MNG that supports animation. I don't know, however, if the browsers support it. For the broadest compatibility, I would stick with GIF for now.

He's talking about the national map that zephxii put together. He can update it anytime since that's hosted by him, not AT&T.

I have to wait for ATT to update their map because i take the tiles and paste them in, if they ever get around to it..someday...maybe..

I just took a trip over to Sacramento today, the AT&T 3G map is still exactly right, 3G ends just before Woodland. It hasn't changed in quite a while.

Woodland.. or Woodland hills ? It worked fine for me in Woodland hills

Well, since we went from our house in Redwood Valley to Sacramento, and Woodland is about 15 miles from Sac, and Woodland Hills is in SoCal, which one do you think?

You didn't say where you started from... you were from San Gabriel Valley (West Covina?) weren't you ?

No, Redwood Valley (115 miles north of San Francisco, or 8 miles north of Ukiah) where I live-

http://maps.google.com/ Just put in 95470 and it'll show you where I am. We went from there to Sacramento, via Highway's 101, 20, 29 and 53 to I-5, then I-5 to Sacramento, then I-80 to our destination (FBI Building) in Sacramento.

I was born (in Riverside) and raised in West Covina though
