A guide wouldn't help, I don't think. I'm not having a problem converting the file to 3g2. The problem is that when it's converted to 3g2, it doesn't read correctly. I get errors when putting the 3gp/3g2 file on my phone. Thanks though.

Again, the problem is not finding a program that will let you convert to a specific format. The problem is the errors. In other words, my program converts the mp4 to avi and I use another program that I use all the time to convert the avi to 3gp/3g2. When the video is put on the phone there is either no sound/just video or errors. Thanks though. It seems as though if the file starts out as a flv or mp4, issues arise.

I'm very capable of making my own ringtones and stuff like that, but what programs do you guys use? I don't want the easiest program, I want the one that will make them sound the cleanest. Clean and loud ringtones. Is it better to start with a wav or an mp3?

I use a program called ToneThis. Sounds real clean, and allows you to adjust to volume to whatever you want. As for what to start with, i just start with mp3.

Negative. No mp4's to 3gp's for me. I can't get it to work properly. I think it mainly has something to do with the fact that mp4's are used for iPods and PSPs and not much else but i dunno.

or
take an mp3 file, download a program that converts the mp3 into a .mmf, then download PcLink Pro, hook your phone up to you PC using the provided USB cable, upload .mmf ringtone to your phone.
