The Official AT&T RAZR2 V9 Thread.

[Technique]

I made these today and wanted to share them. I used P2KCommander 4.9.3 to do this mod.

Step 1:

1. Download the 0032_0001 seem and do this offset mod:

offset 74 bit 4: Settings > Audio > Ring Lights (1 on, 0 off)

2. Re-upload the seem and restart the phone by clicking Restart at the bottom left of P2KCommander.


Step 2:

1. Add the 001 and 002 FLP's

2. Delete the lighting-patterns.manifest file and replace it with the one in the zip.

3. Restart the phone.

4. Now Go into Audio and select either Flicker or Pulse

5. Enjoy!

Yes. Only Bluetooth for now.

These should be what controls what from the FLP files:

1,2 = LCD backlight
5 = Keypad
6 = Bluetooth
7 = Charging light

Not sure on 1 2 or 5 on the V9 as I did not play with thoes yet.

They do work. I'm guessing no one downloaded the videos I made of my ring lights for the V9? It has the LCD, Keypad, and Bluetooth flashing.

Funlights are attached. Below is a description of each funlight:

001 = Keypad and BT light flash every 200ms

002 = Keypad, BT Light, and LCD flash every 200ms

003 = BT Light flashes every second for 10 seconds pauses then stays on for 5 seconds

004 = Keypad, BT Light, and LCD flash every 100ms

138 (Incoming message, new voicemail, missed call/msg reminder) = BT Light flashes every 500ms

158 (Charging Indicator) = BT and Charging Lights flash every 800 in an alternating pattern

Charge (Another Charging Indicator) = BT and Charging Lights flash together every 400ms

Please show me where? I might return my V9 for that. Only ones I see are T-mobile branded versions.

I watched all the videos but they are of the V9 when the flip is open. Whenever I receive a call the flip is closed making those modifications not very relevent. I would like it so when the flip is closed the charging & bluetooth indicators flash back and forth and maybe even some outer lcd flashing? Does yours do this yet?

The charging light only works when the phone is charging (just like the stupid V6 - ).

And the ring lights are the same when the phone is closed or open.

That sucks, same thing with the Krzr. Oh well I probably couldn't of done it anyway.

On my v3xx i have both the charging light (red) and the bluetooth (blue) flashing.

This new phone can only have the blue light flashing?

The V3xx seems to be a different kind of beast than the V6 and V9; hence it's ability to do both.

yeah they are tmobile branded but they are unlocked, im sure unbranded and unlocked will hit ebay also.

While browsing or texting, I want to be able to access my calendar, calculator, java apps and/or other functions of the phone without losing my browser session and/or incomplete text messages currently being composed? In other words, I want to switch back and forth between apps seamlessly.

And also, how does one go about placing a phone call during a web session? This was supposed to be one of the killer apps for UTMS/HSDPA and I love using it on my Samsung Sync, but does it work on the RAZR V9?

No you cannot. While browsing you can't switch to another app as far as I can see. While texting if you wan't to switch to another app you have the option to save as draft, then you can pick up where you left off. You can suspend java apps and use any other function and return to the java app and resume where you left off.

You can browse and talk simultaneously with a catch ...you can launch the browser while on a call but you can't launch a call when on the browser. (hence "while browsing you can't switch to another app") You have to exit the browser first to access the phone functions.

Man that sucks. So much for "cutting edge"... So not worth $300, prolly not even worth $200.

Anyone have any input as to how this compares to the LJ based V8?

My V9 arrived today when I got home from work. This phone is so sweet! As others have stated before, the battery cover is damned hard to remove. In my haste, I installed the battery and cover, started charging the phone without installing the sim card. After the charge was complete I tried removing the cover to install the sim card and discovered how tightly it fits. Still playing around with it, motorola has done it again!!!
