Will there be a come-back to the USA market?

Panasonic used to make some really good handset back in the day for ATT here int he USA. Will there ever be a come back to any carrier for Panasonic?

I'm hoping that if they do they bring the Softbank series of phones over and not the VS series that they sell over here in China. The VS phones are mostly OK, but a lack of expandable storage sucks.

the vs7/mx7/sa7 had a 2.5" screen which blows my mind on a flip phone. if those phones would've had a minisd slot or some other expandable memory option, that would've been unbelievable. I had a vs2 a year ago and really liked the bright 2.2" screen and the camera seemed quite good as well. loved the design and the one push flip open feature.

Not sure about a u.s. comeback but I read somewhere else that Panasonic will return to Asian and European markets in 08. That's just an unconfirmed rumor so don't quote me on that.

Funny you mention 705P, it was actually destined for world markets as the VS70 before Pana pulled the plug on its global business and focused only on Japan.

Nobody knows when/if they'll resume making handsets for the world again...

Oh, you'll want to test the 705P unlock on the new version as well as the old one (Softbank re-released the 705P as the 705Px recently, but only black, gray, and white now ).
