thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a hard look at 8550.

coming back to topic. I just saw that Juke does NOT have BREW software. Does it mean that this phone is free from the horrible VZW software that almost every other non-PDA vzw phone has?

    Where was that said? (link)
I know it doesn't have EVDO for faster downloads.

Um excuse me. This phone has no EVDO, why is nobody planning a rebellion? What are with the pics on the first page showing an evdo signal meter, then now I hear from engadget no EVDO? What the hell? There is a breakdown in logic somewhere here...

Yes that is one thing. Anything that has to do with data, will be slower without EVDO. Because of no EVDO, no VCAST, which is kind of stupid cuz I love VCAST.

I was looking forward to this phone but I must say major dissapointment. No EVDO, a 0.3 megapixel camera(what the hell?!!!??), I mean 2 megapixels is the new bar, anything below 1.3 just is a joke by today's standards. Too bad Verizon and Samsung did not do better on this. I am not amused.

    I will clear this up.
The first pic is a CAD rendering of the phone, which shows EVDO.

But if you look at all the Hands-on pics posted here today, like this one, you wil see only 1X showing.

Even the other pics I posted in Post 1 show only 1X

Hmm. Still very dissapointing. Today's standards demand 3g(wtf iphone lol), and since this phone does not have it, I doubt I will get it. Maybe for my girlfriend, as she needs an mp3 player, and a new phone coincidentally, but not for me.

Still you can not say expandable memory would not be a plus.
