If you are first-time user of data services on Fido, you would do well to take a close look at Fido's data rates. They are very high for anyone but a very light user. Rogers' data is similarly very high-priced. Most iPhone users (except those few like me who still have an unlimited data plan) stick to WiFi for data service.
There's going to be lots of pissed off people in a month or so when they get their first data bills, having not educated themselves on data rates *before* using their iPhones with wild abandon.

anyone knows how to set up the wifi? it shows i'm connected i tried pinging the iphone's ip and it did work but when i try to run safari it tells me it can't find the server.

Try again. I have seen a lot of brief failures lately. It will either say that EDGE cannot be activated, or some Web site will be not findable. It started a couple of months ago, and has gotten worse over time.
