HELP: LG CU575 Trax Unlock Instructions Needed

I already have the IMEI unlock code to unlock an LG CU575 Trax, however I need to know how to enter the unlock code. I've tried inserting a NON-CINGULAR SIM, and I've typed in 236633#*# but nothing happens. I also tried typing 159753#*# (the procedure for unlocking a LG CU400 / CU500) Neither have allowed me to enter the unlock code for this phone. I would greatly appreciate any ideas here. Thanks!

I have been struggling with this for over a month... Here is what works:

    1. Put a non cingular sim in the phone ,phone says invalid smart chip
    2. Now enter *#865625# then select option 1 and then again select 1 and enter your 16 digits code

    Have fun!

    How?

I have been struggling with this for a while too. I have the unlock code also but... when i do the whole *#865625# thing nothing happens, no menu comes up. Everyone I know has ATT too which sucks cause i cant get a hold of a diff sim card. I called LG and they were not helpful at all. They said it was an ATT problem. I don't understand how people dont like to offer support for their own products.

I have an old at&t pre-merger sim card. Apparently I can't use any of the newer AT&T phones unless I get an unlocked phone.

If I follow the above instructions, I should be able to unlock the phone? What is this 16 digit code that I need to enter and where do I find this? Thanks in advance

Nevermind, found this on another forum:

"You have to call customer service and request your subsidy unlock code. You will give them the IMEI, then they will request it, and about 5-10 business days later your code will be emailed to you. THere is no fast way to get it."
