Incredible, Ive called 5 local AT&T stores and 3 of them dont even have a clue about the TILT & the other 2 told me oh yeah that phone is new, we'll probably get them @ the end of this month. Incredible. I made them feel stupid & told them about the press release & they say oh...uh.hh...
Why is this incredible? After hundreds of new releases it seems that people would now know that the sales people don't know much before release and many don't have a clue until after its been out a while.
I love these new release threads right before the release. It's always the same thing.
Don't know if all of this has been posted on this thread so just wanted to add this just in case.
Just got to work today and here is the official release and info on the Tilt that was in my e-mail. Just wanted all to see and further confirm the Oct 5th launch date. Hope this puts to rest all the confusion and makes everyone happy.

I've just called 2 stores in Midtown Manhattan and none of them know when the tilt will be arriving.
This worries me a bit - NYC is a rather large 3G market, and I think if they've already received shipments *someone* at the store should know. Before I got off the phone with the last store I said I thought I'd seen a press release that it was due tomorrow and the woman had no idea what I was talking about. Their answer - "some time this month?"
Does anyone know of stores in NYC having the phone yet, or planning on having it tomorrow??
** update:
I just called 2 more stores and took a different approach - told them I knew it was to be available tomorrow due to the press release on their own site. They responded saying yeah, but we don't have any confirmation that we'll be getting any of the devices in by tomorrow.
If anyone has availability info for the NYC market, I'd really appreciate it.

Reason: update..
Just wanted to let you guys know that my local att store here in college station, TX got three tilts in stock. They said they would be able to match the premier pricing too. Surprisingly, they had it before it showed up on the premier website. Anyhow, I am gonna pick it up at 4.
That made it sound like it had showed up already...
My agony will outlast others here because my company restricts which phones it'll buy for employees so it'll lag a week or so.
If you use Seven Mail beta you can get GMail pushed to your phone and it uses very little battery power to maintain push. But Seven doesn't support HTML email yet, so it'll come across as non-HTML text until they add that feature (hopefully soon.)
I know from the article posted that the 8925 will be 299.99 with a 2 yr contract and a mail in rebate. Anybody have an idea what the premier website will have it listed for. The only reason I say this because I just received an 8525 yesterday in the mail from the premier website and just wondering if I can return it to get an 8925 if its not that much of a price difference. Consider I just paid 199.99 for the 8525.
