    i am getting hounded even on bill pays and of all things....PREPAY. also didnt we go from BLOCS to CARE?????? i thought we were supposd to assess the customers need and then offer the best solution????? data cards are a cool thing i use one bc i take my laptop everywhere but there is a niche group that will use these... especially at 59.99 a month. i have been with alltel 4 yrs and cant figure out how i can hit over 100% to quota in every category for a yr and still get reprimanded every day. i asked my rsm how they can fire me for not selling data cards when im at quota every month his response was failure to follow management directive. i laughed at him

    hahaha i do too.....i get cussed becuase i TELL the person to keep there old phone, in case they need one to use later on......alltel gets like what, $50 per recap, and what do we as reps get? thats why my focus isnt on them!

    although i understand AT WILL EMPLOYMENT.....as long as you are pitching DC 100% time, and making a CQA of 85, i dont see HR firing you.....

    just pull everything else out....i say...screw data cards

    i tether my laptop.....its cheaper
    plus, they want us to get people to replace their internet for ours...and its not 100% reliable..at all....

    Do you REALLY think that Alltel would fire someone over something so petty? I would hope not, unless they really wanted to have an HR nightmare. I know people that I work with that NEVER pitch the Data Cards and are getting 7 or 8 a month. Its luck of the draw really, and for what ever reason management fails to realize that (I think...). How many times have you given someone your card, asked them to come back and even in some cases followed up with then and to no surprise they end up getting the DC with a diffrent rep in a different store? OR couldn't get a data card because there was a deposit on the line? I could have had 7 data cards to one customer but big blue wanted 200.00 a card. I almost lost it that day... but was able to regain sanity... uugh, some days.

    Also, as my conversion trainer said, our jobs are, above anything else, to help the customer get what they want from us. So if I ask, would you like to get the web where ever you are, and they say no, I am NOT going to demo the DCs, or drone on about it. I asked, they didn't want and I wont ask again. I did my job.

    Also, if they wanted everyone to have a DC where is their advertisement? That has baffled me...

    I am pretty sure were getting it. It would make sense... Unless, of course, because of the new people taking over, they take it away from us... they I will go nuts.

    i think we will get it but im thinking in february since they are still going through end of yr numbers and the net promoter scores.
