Opinions on the best gps app for n95 8gb? It seems the data free ones can't be used as they require memory cards :S Any thoughts or options for me? Please let me know. I've read the whole thread. Thanks

I think you're wrong about this one. Although it doesn't have an SD slot and has fixed memory space, the 8 GB are separated. 1GB is considered as internal memory ("Phone memory"), while the rest works exactly as if you inserted an memory card in ("Mass memory").
Even the Phone suite tells you that some apps have to be installed to "memory card"...
I believe all the GPS software should work on 8GB version as it did on normal n95... (note that I didn't try Route 66 or CoPilot, but will do asap)
From what I understand, the software works just fine but the current version requires a Bluetooth GPS. The forthcoming version will be able to use the internal GPS.
i'm thinking about getting a bluetooth gps module for my nokia 6120. however, i'm in guangzhou, china at the moment. does nokia maps, or any other maps offer anything for china?

I've seen maps for hong kong, but nothing for the mainland.
I got TomTom for my dad's 6120. It's really nice. I wish someone at Tom tom would get it to work on the N95.
Cant' find the answer but assuming this to be the case.
Out of the box, the n95-3 has the Nokia Maps app but no maps loaded onto it, correct?
I would have to download the map of my choice otherwise all I am looking at is the globe?
On a related note, any mac users out there download maps onto their n95? I can only find instruction for using a PC to move maps onto the device...or is there an OTA method?
