WHEN EVER DOING SOMETHING LIKE THIS YOU MUST ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS TAKE YOUR TIME AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS (every word, even the fine print if there is any...) [edit] even those i spelled wrong [/edit]

There is a Reason to do it exactly as the guide states.

Some of the backups made with RSD CDMA General contain "user" SPECIFIC information... and a "generic" version can not be posted....

I need to talk to KBMAN some more (he has the phone)... this may be related to using the older (02.0B.09P) firmware...

Until then... You're welcome to try the process using the newer usc_v9m_02.0c.12p_prinn13635_monster_01.shx.zip and see if that fixes it... BUT You'd have to start the process over again...

KNown.. no... BUT as stated earlier... the unsuccessful EVDO data attempts done at KBMAN's house were with the .12 firmware... the successful attempts done at MY house were with the .09...

that is why the guide calls for .09.

Unknown to us at this point... was it something in the different firmware version? different software versions on his pc vs mine (I had older RSD CDMA General and older QPST.. not sure about the others)... or that I have GOOD EVDO both inside & out at my place.. EVDO at his place is "spotty" inside... so he had to go outside to get good EVDO signal...

BUT we did NOT know about the 275A hack for the M.IP when working with the .12 then... so that may FIX the .12...

in theory... you should be able to start at section 2. just re-use your QPST, RadioComm, and RSD CDMA Gen backups...

It did work on the .12 firmware, but when 1x data only was working... EVDO wasn't... (read the original thread disucssing the leak of the USCellular Monster firmware..)

No, I know he can not... he has not re-flashed to anything since we were successful...

We just spoke last night... our next step was to rule out variables in the unsuccessful EVDO data attempts... that meant... either 1. trying the process exactly as written using the .12 firmware... OR 2. un-installing all software from his PC... and installing the EXACT versions I have, then trying again...

BUT with both of us getting slammed at our jobs.. we're having difficulties getting together to work on this more... (he lives 30-35min drive, one way, away from me...)

You would know that EvDO isn't working if, when you have an EvDO signal(icon shows EV), your mobile web will give an Authentication failed error and will attempt to connect several times and then drop back to 1x(icon may or may not switch) and then connect.
