Phew... 81 pages down. Tried the above (actually, all the RSD CDMA backups) Gonna call CS to fix my data and if that doesn't solve it, I'll flash back to vzw to re-backup and run the risk of getting stuck. Moto UI is far better but not if I can't get the kinks out.

Thanks teddyearp and I'll be in touch if I can get back to USC this weekend. Some of the file links in the thread are dead so hopefully you can hook me up at that point.

Thanks for the link Ted, very helpful. My GIN errors are on the vzw end. I activated my LG Choc again to test and all worked BUT GetItNow (which worked prior as I used BA before my switch-same error retrieving catalog 3332) and CS has been less than helpful in fixing data. So my V9m is fine but with all my test changes texts get to 100% then fail saying "Error: No valid recipients for this MM", so 1) I'm going back and reloading all my original backups (think step 3 just after flash), 2) Get the fully functional USCC (less GIN), then 3) going to Telus as I prefer java from my ATT days anyways... forget vzw and their blocky brew tetris ;-)

Question: Was a valid MMA editor found for the V9m? I have not seen that posted. Or have people been just doing it in hex? I can read it in hex fine but if an editor is operable, I'd rather use that.

Edit: BTW, my data issue with vzw was most likely from tweaking the files for RSD CDMA after activating the phone. Live and learn GMS phones (and providers) were SO much more forgiving hahaha

You should be able to go far enough up the VZW food chain to get your data fixed if it's not working on a pure VZW phone. As I said, it's been a while, but for the best results (IMHO, or if it were me), you should flash the V9m back to pure VZW, activate it and get every thing working on it, then start over. If you go to the Telus flash with some things not working, it could cascade on you. I had everything working on my V9m with USCC and then soon went to the Telus upgrade with it all working. When I was 'cutting my teeth' on my V3m and had similar problems as you getting the Vivo flash to work on it, I finally did as I suggest and reflashed to VZW and started over again. I took some pretty good notes and almost wrote a couple of V9m flashing guides at my site, but everyone was moving to the Napoleon and then the A855 Droid so soon, I just never did.

As for the MMA editor, I never did use one, however I seem to have something like that in my directory I linked you to. Last note, most all the stuff in that directory that has an .exe extension is a self-extracting archive. Don't know why I did it at the time, but there it is.

    good luck

Thanks for the info Ted. I tried reloading, no luck. Tried reflashing USCC and got the dreaded blue screen. The Altel update file didn't revive so I went back to VZW (1st 01.15.0DP then 01.31.00R-monster on monster), resaved all backups, and tried the USCC .12 again but blue screen again. Then found 02.0D.0CP and it stuck. All working but GIN again (which I now know is on the VZW end).

Not sure if I want to test MMA Advanced as I know when a prog messed up my MMA on my V3xx (GSM) it crashed and burned till the full flash was available. I used MMA Advanced a lot with my gsm's but this will be a first on CDMA and cannot find confirmation in the forums. Looks like hex it is ;-)

Thanks again Ted, this has been fun. I'll be sitting as-is till I can get through the Telus upgrade thread (and hammer on VZW some more to get GIN working) but with my own customizations, I'll be happy for the next week

FYI. I'm having the same 3332 error. I can't access any part of get it now (no ringtones, games, ect) I went to a VZW store and tried to update the firmware/software on my env2 I bought off amazon, and it had the most current version. Called VZW from the VZW store and they said on 3/25/2011 the sent out a software update to LG phones (they have a list of LG phones) for GET IT NOW (GIN) software update. Any 'older' LG phone on the list that was active at that time received a software update and can access GIN. All 'older' LG phone not on the list didn’t get the update, can’t access GIN and can never get the update. The two phones I just activated (LG env2 and LG VX8300). All I wanted to use was backup assistant. VZ solution is to buy a new phone.

Same thing I've been told as well. VZW can stuff GIN, heading to Telus this weekend. Thanks for the confirmation daver79.
