Does any one know how to reasign buttons on this thing ? Or remove proxy ? Every time I do it comes back after reboot and gmail app doesn work, also google maps my location doesnt work whats up with that ?
I was reading on another forum that the Google Maps My Location has a lot of bugs to work out of it. One suggestion was that before the system would even work for you a GPS enabled device needed to be connected to the network first and be in the area. Sounds crazy, but I think the point is alot of devices are having trouble with the GM My Location.
As far as the button think, I cannot be much help. I've not gotten into reasigning buttons yet. You might need to add a third part application for button asignment. Not that I'm one to point to other forums for reveiw, but here Smart Phone Thoughts Forum is a good post about button assignment. It might help.

Thanks for your help. I gata say the navigation on this thing is terrible, tomtom works, but I guess the design is for a touch screen so alot of things dont work (this is why I need button reassignment there is a program called fakecursor that simulate touch screen) and another program Route 66 it just sits there on calculating. Thanks for your help
I figured out how to answer a call on the Duo by sliding it (actually my wife figured it out but wouldn't tell me so I looked and figured it out myself). Start>Settings>Call Options>Any key answer (check this feature) >Done.
Apparently, the slide up is "any key" and will answer the call. Haven't figured out if it is possible to end a call by sliding but still trying.

Yozh,
Are you using the TomTom for Smartphone or are you using the one for a Pocket PC? I would have thought the Smartphone version would be more geared to menus.
does anybody know how to add tones to this phone for voicemail and text messages?
I use to have the HTC Wizard (wm5) .. and all I had to do was drop .wav files in the windows folder and it would show up.
but I can't get it to work on here.. I did figure out how to add mp3 tones.. you just have to make sure they're under 300kb in size.. so I have that part working fine. but I'd like to also have custom tones for new voicemails.. and text messages.
Have had the duo for a few days. Anyone know how to remove the at&t icons, shopping links etc. Am new to wm smartphones.
Search for SDAUnlock on the web and application unlock your phone.
Connect your phone to your PC, via ActiveSync go to My Device/windows/smart menu and delete or rearrage the icons or folders as you like.
Reboot your phone.
Also, if you want to arrange icons in the start menu into a specific order, use a regsitry editor and go to HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Shell/StartMenu and then select Values. You'll see Order. Select it and you'll see the current order of your icons. You can add, delete etc. However, make sure you leave to lines below your last entry (by this I mean you have to have two "enters" after the last icon listed or it will jack your start screen).
I find that believing the universe spontaneously generated, developed self-governing laws, and produced intelligent life all by random, purposeless, material events requires greater faith than I am able to muster.
I had a quick question...I was thinking about purchasing this phone but wanted to know if I needed to have a data plan like you do with the iphone or tilt. Thanks

You don't have to have a data plan to use the phone, but you do need one to get the most out of its many features, also you need a PDA/Unlimited Messaging Plan to get the rebate.

DL now, thank you very much for this app ZenD, this is exactly what we've needed for this phone, and to why this wasn't already an option for the phone who knows..
(now if we could just get some way of fixing the muffled voices while in a call.. )
