No. You need to pay using DaVinci client.

Hello, I'm getting ready to unbrand my phone (ATT w580i) and want to make sure I can rebrand it if I need to. I can't seem to find the ATT firmware on the web anywhere, so is there a way I can make the back up myself? Will the latest version of SETool (v1.11) do it? If so, how?

alright.. i followed every step carefully and the flashing seems to work fine...
i used
W810_R4EK001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED50.fbn

to flash my w810, i live in canada and my service provider is Rogers. When i turn on the phone, it did the configuration thing and everything seemed to work fine. but it says to plug in my sim card, so i did. turned my phone off pluged in sim card and started back up.... then it gave me this error "Configuration error. Please contact your service provider or service center" was the firmware i used not compatiable with rogers or something? how can i fix this?

I am a Canadian and Rogers is my provider. The mod worked fine for my w580i, although I had some trouble installing the drivers correctly. That was my own stupidity. :-) I did the flash with the SIM installed though and the phone off.

The files clearly state that they are for the w580 though, so perhaps there is a difference. You might want to Google around to see if you can find the files for other phone models. They ARE out there. I have seen links to other sites in this forum as well.

I would recommend trying the flash again, because the people who have experienced the configuration error generally got it fixed themselves by trying again. Once you can connect to Rogers again, go the the SE site have them phone the proper Internet settings back into your phone.

How come for the w580i volume control has a different function? It direct to phone status.? how do i change that.?

With SETool lite, just press "Read GDFS" and you'll have this very important backup.

is there another way of backing up a GDFS?
can you only make one copy?

i just want to be sure that i've got a back up, so i copied the file "gdfs_imei number" (only 87kb) to another folder and tried to make another backup of it. but se tool just keeps reading without stopping unless i press 'stop' and abort the 'read gdfs' process..

...Will backup GDFS now.
