Nope. You can only use tracfone phones on tracfone. They have a special minute counter in them.

Not only that, but you cannot even swap your current tracfone sim into another tracfone and just talk.

This question and answer should be put as a notice and stuck to the top of the forum. Most asked question. poster not to be blamed though, it's a very common question.

I second the motion to put a notice in the title of a sticky at the top of the forum, like the unlocking one.
Trying to come up with some sort of signature line...

Wow, dbusguy! I have the article when Consumer Reports tested the phone with the small projecting mouthpiece and the one with the rounded flip -- back in 1997 and 2001, respectively! I recall the projecting mouthpiece one was a middling phone, IIRC the rounded flip was one of the better ones. Boy, those are old phones!

I still have all those and their chargers and they still work and hold a charge.
Now, can anybody tell me WHY I still have them?

Arm mouthpiece was called a zuma by sony and the rounded one is a samsung

2 are missing. First was a Nokia 101 and I had a Motorola bag phone. Car phone in a thin bag but no battery, had to plug into lighter
